I am so sick of these cargo runs. . .but the plan worked! After a few weeks of trucking explosives and intel, my contact slipped something extra into my cargobay: a physical keycard and access codes for a decommissioned Federal Corvette, sitting unguarded at a unpowered settlement. Usually the codes are wiped in the decommission process, but the settlement was evacuated. Power core, thrusters, and FSD work well enough.I was able to walk right into the vette and fly off with it. Corvettes share nearly all the same internals with an Anaconda so I'd arranged to gut the Coldstar and transfer components at a nearby settlement. Most importantly, the signal transponder needed to be swapped. To anyone not looking out the window the Coldstar will appear a totally not stolen anaconda. Hopefully it'll help get out of Fedspace without a fight. If a Fedneck does look out the window. . .well I've got two very big plasma accelerators.
