NGC 1999

21 Feb 2016Thelan

NGC 1999 is another tiny nebula centered on the single star, V380 Orionis. It was my last stop before the "gates" of Barnard's Loop.

V380 Orionis is a bright class A with two smaller companions. The last of those has three planets.

After the minty teal environment of the Spirograph Nebula, NGC 1999's ominous dark red glow is unsettling.

Hell is rocky, cold, airless... and invites you all.
