Azimuth Issues Bounty After War Research Theft.

November 16, 3309Director Xavier Rousseau Head of Azimuth Biotech Bioscience has made a statement about a potential asset theft from Azimuth Biotech.
"An independent salvage team has delivered data from a salvage operation of a destroyed fleet carrier from an independent mercenary organization. The group of independent pilots was set to deliver a valuable asset to Azimuth that would have drastically enhanced research efforts in defending against the Thargoid threat when they were attacked just outside of our main research facility. The current whereabouts of the asset are currently unknown. The asset in question is a secret hybrid creature developed with the intent of allowing cross species communication."
"The asset has been held secret by a rogue Xenobiologist by the name of Silvia Sharpe, who is also the creator of this potentially invaluable creature. Sharpe is known to have political affiliation to Princess Aisling Duval by way of her wife, Duchess Venus Duval, a long distant relative to the royal family. Duval is known to be extremely violent and unpredictable. Reports have come in recently of the sighting of their ship Memento Mori near Beagle Point. It is our belief that Sharpe and Duval are attempting to hide the asset from Azimuth and from humanity."
"It is important that we locate Sharpe and the hybrid creature before they are captured by the enemy. We wish only to study their connection to one another and gather as much data as possible so that we might generate some form of communications array to intercept Thargoid transmissions and allow for us to get ahead of their plans."
The statement has come out at a surprising time as reports suggest Azimuth has known about this asset since before Salvation attempted to release the Proteus wave. When asked why this news was not released publicly at the time of the assets disappearance Director Rousseau replied.
"We had to be absolutely certain that this loss was the result of human intervention. Some of the data logs from the debris field indicate heavy Thargoid presence. Our salvage team also managed to capture a single video clip from one of the fleets ships showing an Anti-Xeno Defense Force ship present but not firing upon the Thargoids. One of our bioscience members was set to meet up with Commander Diaz and his fleet to exchange the asset in question but was destroyed by a Federal Corvette operated by Kira Goto. It is currently unknown if the rogue Titan survivor was involved in the theft of the asset or was simply acting on behalf of the Thargoids to eliminate any potential threats to their plans."
This news of AXDF pilots not fighting against the one thing they swore to defend humanity against is disturbing information. We went to the public with this information and asked them how they felt one individual who asked to remain anonymous said this.
"AXDF not fighting Thargoids is not something I thought I would ever hear. I mean they are supposed to defend humanity against the threat not work with them. To find out there was an AXDF pilot near a carrier being actively attacked by Thargoids, this just causes one to lose hope."
Another one had this to say.
"First we are told these Titan survivors are potential threats, which upsets me because my brother was captured by those things, and now you are telling me there are scientists who are out there trying to prevent humanity from being able to win this war? Corruption used to exist in politics now it seems it is rampant everywhere. I say we find these rogue agents and burn them like the traitors they are."
This is indeed all shocking information. Azimuth has placed a significant bounty on Commander Sharpe and Duval of 200million Cr, with a larger reward of 80million Cr, if brought in alive with the hybrid creature. Both Duval and Sharpe should be considered hostile and extremely dangerous. Both should be treated with extreme caution.
The Pilots Federation has also released a statement, regarding information from an OmniPol detective who had responded to a distress signal near Beagle Point. The ship in question was Memento Mori, the ship frequently used by Commander Sharpe.
"After having responded to a distress beacon from Commander Sharpe and Duval, emergency repairs were performed to bring the ship to an operational state. Once the ship had been repaired, the duo were set to report back to a nearby fleet carrier, instead the ship initiated an anomalous hyperspace jump."
"When the data was decoded the jump point was unknown. It's as if the ship itself had vanished. The telemetry data was undecipherable and the destination non-existent. We have our best data analysts working to decode their location and with the recent information from Azimuth Biotech we are further expanding our search efforts to bring these two potential war criminals to justice."
"The Pilots Federation is willing to match the bounty issued by Azimuth for the delivery of both Silvia Sharpe and Venus Duval to Pilots Federation authorities."
Current whereabouts of all involved parties are unknown at this time.
