Flame Nebula

07 Mar 2016Thelan
When one looks at Flame Nebula from Sol, it is but a tiny wart against the majestic spiral of Barnard's Loop. But here, it becomes obvious that it's a huge feature some dozen light years across.

Approaching the Flame Nebula from the direction of Sol.

To boldly go and whatnot; who said that the space is boring?

Magellan landing on Trapezium Sector AF-Z C4 2.

There is a single dim star in the very core of the nebula. Unfortunately, it's quite dark and depressing in there.

On the other side of the nebula, at Trapezium Sector BV-Y D10, the sky glows with bright peach clouds over the jagged ice of a nameless moon, like a polar dream.

And, like a parting gift, an outlying star humbly offers its jewel - a water world that orbits a large barren terrestrial.

Here it is, the true hidden treasure of the Flame Nebula, fresh and beautiful!
