I have made it back to the bubble safe and sound. Keen eyed readers might now go: “wait a minute, your location says Scheau Phio CM-G b58-2, thats not anywhere near the bubble!” and you’d be correct. I have already finished all my business there and are already on my way out into the black again. I had only returned because of the whole “crew-incident” and am now eager to resume my initial expedition. Thanks to some help of my old buddy Litening, I got my carrier refueled and ready for departure in less then a day. The only real issue was finding a replacement crew but even that turned out to be more of an opportunity then a problem! You see, when I first commissioned my carrier, I did not pay any attention to the crew composition. The result was an over all moody crew that did not quite share my enthusiasm or even understand the line of work I’m doing on this ship. Now I had the chance to make sure my new crew was more… compatible with personal goals. And so I did! First of all I reduced the number of crewmen to a bare minimum, I don’t want any more slackers just hanging around in my hallways anymore! But the real interesting change is: I have recruited only returnees as my new crew! Yea you read that right, my entire new crew is made up of people that had been abducted by the Thargoids! Yes, yes I know, I have been quite vocal about my opinion not to let those individuals back into the general public before. Now hiring them to run my ship seems hypocritical but hear me out. I still believe it was a mistake to release those people but now that it has already happened and our species is doomed anyway, there’s no point in resisting it anymore. So I might as well make personal use of the situation. This way I have the opportunity to study them 24/7 (and maybe run some subtle experiments...). Many of the returnees are also quite motivated to investigate the Thargoids! Since most organizations have concerns about allowing them access to such research, it was easy to find enough motivated people willing to crew the Big Sister. So with my carrier resupplied and my new crew recruited and eager for action, there was no point in waiting any longer! We are back out in the Black!
