CMDR Eric Vons POV
"Damn it." I yelled as I raced to the bridge level and entered the cockpit. "Tetco, Execute Order 15. Priority override." I declared as I took my seat. "Order 15 initiated Commander." Tetco confirmed. "Order 66 override engaged." She added. I went through the process of preparing for launch. "Tetco, track that DBX." I ordered as the Hubward lifted off and the engines screamed as they propelled the Cobra up after the DBX. "Target acquired. Commander." Tetco said. "Calculate possible destinations for them to head for. Update those calculations based off any new data we acquire. And utilize the Guardians FTL network." I said as I mashed the boost button. "Acknowledged. Calculations in progress." Tetco replied. The DBX bearing the moniker "Stellar Hare" began charging it's FSD. "Nice name." I snorted. The DBX High Wake jumped out of the system. "Wake scan indicates that they went to the Jambavan System." Tetco called out. "Set the course. And Engage the FSD." I said. "Plotting, Route Plotted." Tetco said. "Jump when ready and take over the chase." I said. "Acknowledged." Tetco said.
I rose from my chair and then headed to the crew section. I started a pot of coffee in the small but serviceable kitchen. After 3 cups and a trip to the waste disposal unit I returned to the cockpit. "Perfect timing Commander." Tetco said from the copilot's seat. "We catch up to them?" I asked. "Yes and they're heading to the Perkele System." She said. "Can you get us in the system before them?." I asked. "Not with the current way of making hyperspace jumps. They'd be able to out jump us." She said noting the expression on my face. "So what do you have in mind?" I asked. "A Faraway jump." Tetco replied. "Can you do that?" I asked. "Sure, I mean the current load on the Guardians FTL network is only about 15% of it's total output capacity. If I have it help me with the calculations I would be able to jump us straight into the center of a Coriolis station if I wanted to." Tetco answered. "Right I think that counts as a yes. Just please don't jump us into the center of a Coriolis station. Or any station for that matter." I said. "But you never let me have any fun like that." Tetco playfully teased. "Yeah and if you did that you could end up destroying a ship and getting me a major fine if not a bounty. Not to mention major questions I would rather not answer." I replied seriously. "But, Faraway jump us ahead of them. Straight into the system. Let's put an end to this game of cat and mouse." I added. "I'm already putting the coordinates in now." She said. "Engage the FSD when you are ready." I said. "Of course." Tetco said with a grin.
We drop out of Hyperspace about 75LS away from the main sequence star and the planet Kanjut. A few minutes later the Stellar Hare shows up on sensors heading towards the planet. We wait until they pass and then followed their progress. "Their heading for Okusanya Prospecting Installation, Commander." Tetco says. "Who controls it?" I asked. "According to the data on the settlement, an anarchy government based faction known as the Crom Silver Boys." Tetco answered. "Right. Let them get there. And charge the FSD for a hyperspace jump." I said. "Commander?" Tetco asked. "You said that you could jump us into the center of a Coriolis station. Have some fun and hyperspace jump us into atmosphere right above the settlement." I said. Tetco grinned. "Commander, you want to make a grand entrance? I'm at your service." She said running the calculations before she entered the coordinates and then engaged the FSD.
