Phew. If there was an "engineering" day before, this time, it is THE engineering day. I was so tired after all I'd done that it felt like I was going insane.

First things first - that guy with the shields, who wanted brandy as a first gift - one of my associates told me to dump everything I had and then go to the Lave system for the last two bottles. I have no idea why, but that worked! Hooray! Didi Vatermann is the guy for the shields. I opened up my new project for the ship, and he started cooking. After a few minutes, I knew I was f*cked.

I'll be honest here—when I first got engineering upgrades five years ago, I had no idea what I was doing. I just put in the upgrades that I thought would work without any idea about balancing or working out the solution for the long-term problem of overheating. This time, I had to make it right, and I didn't have materials for experimental effects until after grade 4. I guess I'll go pirate hunting, mining, raiding...

One good thing i did this time - i wasn't lazy. I've jumped around the systems, changed hardpoints, revisited The Dweller, opened access to Dekker, got contacts of 2 more engineers, pinned the necessary blueprints (I was SO surprised to realize that I didn't have some of them pinned), and... spent half of my budget for a MILITARY HULL, GODS THIS IS SO EXPENSIVE! It's like buying a second Conda! My god, what is with these prices? I know I Sol has 25%? 20? It is up for the availability of all modules, but GOLLY, this is NUTS.

Well, I guess it's back to hunting again for me. This time, I just need to find a base that will benefit my squadron and my pockets.

Damn. The grind continues.
