Location: Waypoint #3 – Leamao BA-A g94
I arrived at waypoint #3 on the 9th of November, 3310, with anticipation buzzing through the ship's hull like a live wire. This system stood out not just for the black hole at its heart but for its captivating companion—a white dwarf known as the C star, casting an almost spectral glow that sliced through the void.
Yet, it was the eccentric dance of its companion, C1, that held me transfixed. This erratic child flirted dangerously close to the white dwarf at perihelion, a gravitational spectacle so reckless it felt alive. Unlike the foreboding orbits of the legendary Monde de la Mort near Colonia, C1’s 1.5-day orbital period presented a fleeting window of approach. The Lone Wonderer crept closer, sensors screaming with data as the ship maintained a delicate balance between wonder and caution.
The light from the white dwarf warped and twisted, bending around the nearby black hole in a cosmic ballet that defied reason. I recorded every detail, every nuance of radiation and shadow, knowing that the stories from this place would echo long after the star’s ghostly glow had receded from view.
I took one last long look at the star’s turbulent child, feeling the thrill of discovery before charting my course to waypoint #4—where the Great Annihilator awaited.
End Log.
