Log #006: The Final Push to Beagle Point

[Audio Log Start]Alpha Panda: Alright, Log number six, and it’s a big one. Commander Alpha Panda here, and today was the day—the final push toward the edge of the galaxy, from Cheae Eurl AA-A e0 to Puwhoi VZ-G d10-6. Beagle Point’s practically calling my name now!
Now, when I woke up this morning, I was all fired up. You know, that last-day-of-the-road-trip energy where you’re just ready to get there? Yeah, I had that in spades. Gave myself a little pep talk, patted the dashboard, and off we went.
First few jumps, I was feeling great. Stars zooming by, coffee in hand—well, synthetic coffee, which tastes like burnt dirt, but hey, it gets the job done. I’d love to say the journey was smooth sailing, but, of course, the universe had other plans.
Let me tell you, nothing brings you back down to reality like that “Frame Shift Drive Temperature Critical” warning. [chuckles] Turns out my ship was as excited as I was, a little too eager on the throttle. Gave the FSD a bit of a cool-down pep talk, and we were back on track.
And then I hit that mid-jump lull, where every system starts to look the same, and you’re half-expecting to jump into a wall of space dust just to mix things up. [laughs] But I kept on going. Jump, scoop, jump, scoop… at one point, I’m pretty sure I was singing to myself. You know things are getting weird when you start freestyling about frame shift drives and fuel scoops.
Finally, as I got closer, I couldn’t help but feel a bit emotional. Beagle Point’s been this mythical place in my mind since I started this trip, and now I’m practically breathing down its neck. It’s a wild feeling, knowing I’m almost at the very edge of the galaxy. Just a few more jumps and… well, that’s it. I’ll be there.
So, here I am, camped out in Puwhoi VZ-G d10-6, my final pit stop before Beagle Point. The FSD’s holding up, the fuel reserves are solid, and this old bird of mine has stuck with me through it all—scrapes, geysers, FSD tantrums, and all.
Tomorrow… tomorrow’s the big day. Beagle Point, I’m coming for you. Panda out.
