Senator Aurora Quinta Rebia POV
I disembark from the Serenity. "Senator, erm, My Lady. Welcome aboard." A young flight deck officer with the rank of Ensign who had merely been filling in said stumbling with the proper honorifics. "Thank you. See to it my ship is refuelled and made ready to go at a moment's notice." I replied. "Y-yes, My Lady." He stuttered bowing until I had passed before hustling off to handle the assigned task. It was clear he had merely wanted to do his job and he wasn't actually expecting to get to see the Serenity or its very important passenger. "Oh, Ensign one more thing." I called out to him. He stopped and turned to face me even more nervous now. As he asked with an even more pronounced stutter in his voice due to his nerves. "Y-yes, M-my L-lady?" "Thank you for greeting me. You did a wonderful job. Keep on like this and I may be looking at the next Admiral of my fleet." I said with a small smile before indicating that he was free to carry on with the task I had assigned to him. "Thank you My Lady." He said. His pride settling down his nerves. He bowed then turned and headed off. I head to my personal quarters with Tetco following behind me. Once in my private quarters I initiate a communication request to Admiral Brice, Admiral Jaques, Ambassador Cuthrick Delaney, Patron Mareli Mccarty, and a few of my other patrons who I didn't really know by name that well due to very limited interaction with them so far.
The holographic display lot up and organized itself to make it appear that all the participants were able to see each other despite all of us being in different rooms. Admiral Brice was in his staterooms aboard the Majestic Class Interdictor I.N.V. Atticus. Admiral Jaques was in his own staterooms aboard the Majestic Class Interdictor I.N.V. Praesidium. While the rest appeared in their own private offices. After a minute they responded in a chorus as one. "Our Lady." "My Admirals, Ambassador, and loyal Patrons." I replied. "I would like a report on the status of your fleets." I added. Admiral Brice spoke first. "The warfleet that used to belong to the Loren family is fully updated with the latest systems, My Lady. All of the ships are fully loaded and manned after the whole personal reorganization that was implemented by your patrons and signed off on by Ambassador Delaney." "Good. I'm pleased to hear that. Admiral Jaques?" I prompted. "My Lady. With the exception of the I.N.V. Stellar Dragon every ship under my command is ready to mobilize at a moment's notice." Admiral Jaques the younger of the two men replied. Both Admirals commanded a warfleet and both of those warfleets combined to form the joint Loren-Rebia warfleet which was listed in the records of the Imperial Navy as the Prifma Taskforce. With Prifma being latin for Prism the name made sense considering that it was owned by me. "My Lady. I apologize for interrupting but Commodore Thorne has just informed me that the I.N.V. Stellar Dragon and the entire complement of vessels aboard are finished being refitted." Tetco interjected bowing as she approached. Then she added. "He is ready to depart the system at your convenience. My Lady." "Thank you, Tetco. And you may as well stay. I will have a system for him shortly." "Of course, My Lady." Tetco replies before settling into a nearby chair off to the side.
"Now that all the ships are ready I would like to propose something. I have been in Achenar for months now. And this sudden required upgrade of all the ships in the Imperial Navy has allowed the Federation to continue to hold B2 Carinae. A system that the Empire has been working hard to take from them due to the strategic location it occupies." I pause to allow them all a moment to process my words. "My Lady. Are you proposing that we go to war against the Federation in that system?" Admiral Jaques asked. "I am. Lavigny's Legion, The Imperial Enforcement Division, and The Ninth Legion have all been confirmed to have members actively participating in the conflict." I stated. "My Lady, that's all well and good for them but that doesn't mean we can just jump all our ships into the system. We would need either one of those groups to approach us or an overwhelming reason to jump into the system. Besides, what about your political stance? My Lady, I don't mean to overstep. But if you did instruct us to take such action it would be possible some may see it as a strong you moving your support from its middle ground position between Senator Denton Patreus and Emperor Arissa Lavingy-Duval to firmly supporting Emperor Arissa Lavingy-Duval." Ambassador Cuthrick Delaney stated.
"I understand that but what is your point?" "Well, My Lady. It could potentially mean that the agreements surrounding how both of our fleets and Senator Denton Patreus's activities in and around the Prism System will function could be nullified." He said. "My Lady, the Ambassador does have a good point. You have been here in Achenar for months. With all the changes that have been implemented by Theta97 these past few months a spontaneous action like this could lose you the system altogether. Instead of a few Patrons." Tetco spoke up. The casual mention of the unknown individual that I knew as Theta97 caused flickers of recognition to flash across a few of the faces of my patrons, including Patron Mareli Mccarty, and Ambassador Cuthrick Delaney. 'They know that name. How much do they know? Can I even trust them enough to ask?' I thought silently. "My Lady. When I became one of your Patrons and took over management of Loren's Legion in the Prism System I swore to support you to the best of my abilities while also representing the best interests of those whom I represent. I can't speak for anyone else here but I can say that no matter what we say the choice is ultimately yours to make. However, I would very strongly advise you to be cautious. With the proper reasons what you are proposing can be done. One such overriding reason is if you were in danger. There's also the option that Kahina Tijani Loren used though in that case the system in question belonged to her by right. And it doesn't apply in this case as you don't own the system and have no legal claim to it." Patron Mareli Mccarty stated. The other Patrons added their own words of agreement albeit with a bit more hesitation before they spoke.
Ambassador Delaney took the more cautious approach. "My Lady, as I have stated earlier there're very few ways to do this. A request to provide assistance and support would be the easiest way. I can work with my contacts and get you an answer soon." "Prism was retaken in a very short amount of time years ago. B2 Carinae has been fought over for about a year now according to the records I have seen. This taskforce has the firepower necessary to punch a hole in the Federation defenses. If it works in conjunction with Imperial forces already in the system it can be taken. It will be taken. And this taskforce will help take it." I declared. "Admiral Brice and Admiral Jaques. Prepare your fleets. Have them form up here in Achenar and be ready to enter B2 Carinae when I give the order. Ambassador, you have until Wednesday to get me a request for my assistance or I will find a compelling reason for the taskforce to jump into B2 Carinae even if I have to make it myself. You are all dismissed to return to your duties." I stated firmly with a tone of finalization in my voice. The group made their own respective gestures and courtesies before dropping off the call. The second the call ended Tetco spoke. "My Lady, would you like me to inform Commodore Thorne that you have decided to jump to B2 Carinae?" "Yes, inform Commodore Thorne that we will be jumping into B2 Carinae from here on Wednesday when I give the order regardless of what happens between now and then." I said. "As you say, My Lady." Tetco says as she bows then leaves. "Damn, I really hope this plan works." I mutter to myself as I relax into an armchair.
