"Incoming transmission on Channel 35-Alpha, Commander." Verity said. "Verity, initiate secure communication mode then accept the transmission." I replied. "Acknowledged, making the adjustments to the communication array settings now." Verity chirped. "Communication array settings reconfigured. Channel 35-Alpha open." "Hello?" I asked. "Commander, we are moving your status to alert level Red." Captain Saskia Landau said. "I assume Senator Rebia is making her move?" "That's correct. She has assembled her whole Taskforce in Achenar. Ambassador Cuthrick Delaney brought the matter to our attention when he began trying to get her a request for her assistance in the system B2 Carinae." "And did she get one?" "No, the ambassador was only given about a day and a half to get the request. We have reason to suspect that the Senator has a back up option she's now using to get her way in a manner that fits her time schedule. She was listed as attending personal business today in The City by the Senate House when all of her ships including the I.N.V. Serenity is doing a formation flight." "So do we know what it was or where she is right now?"
"We don't know what that business is but we do know a privately owned clipper, The Stella Viator, registered to Vallarta Stenaw. A triple Elite commander. Lifted off and flew into the airspace that was reserved for the Senator's ships taking the head of the formation for a minute or two before boosting away and jumping into supercruise." "And why is that important?" "Because her security team that accompanied her has just been debriefed and they said she left them outside the meeting room with instructions to wait. Those instructions were then changed by her to return to the Serenity's intended landing zone. With assurances that she "would be safe and her contact would see to it she made it to the ship safely."
