COMMANDER ADRELLA//SJCS ARTEMIS//3310-12-02 - Chasing down Titan Cocijo

02 Dec 2024Adrella
With Titan Cocijo packing up and leaving its base in the Col 285 Sector BA-P c6-18, I figured it would be interesting to track it.

Having missed the entire Thargoid war, I hadn't seen the Stargoids arrive, so wanted to see the phenomenon before it disappeared. I moved out to 9 Puppis, but had already missed it pass through. I then relocated to Daiti, and caught it blasting out of the system at a distance of 5ly from the star.

Finally, I got in front of it at LHS 1918, with it heading towards the system at incredible speed. One CMDR seemed to have clocked it at 63,000c.

However, it had been a very long day, so I had to get some sleep before being exhausted. I did manage to see a hint of the Stargoid cloud at 4.5ly, which is astounding in itself. I dread to think the physics bending to allow that to happen.

In regards to what I'll do, I'm think I've come to a decision. I do not and cannot support this war. The only reason the Thargoids attacked was due to constant provocation over the last several hundred years. We committed genocide against them, and they still didn't bother us. It was due to Salvation's merciless persecution of them that finally led to them hitting back. GalNet Digest's report into the atrocities committed against the Thargoids really brought this home, too.

I was too far away to help earlier, but now that I'm back in the bubble, I feel I can contribute. I won't fight, but I can help evacuate civilians from Sol.

I need to outfit an evacuation ship, so that will be my next step. Once completed, I'll head to Sol and help get people out of the system.
Do you like it?
