>>>>>Commander's Log: December 3rd, 3310 [Time of Log: 1154 Hours] <<<<<>>>>> 2 days until Titan Cocijo's arrival in Sol <<<<<<
I'm standing on the bridge of the largest ship I own. There's a stillness in the air and a thin film of dust covering just about every inch of this place. I haven't flown this thing since the venerable princess graced me with this monstrosity for all my good deeds within her boarders. But right now, I need big, and the Cutter is just that. Right now its being outfitted with as many passenger cabins as it can hold and being outfitted with the fastest thrusters money can buy. And I'm up here making sure everything still runs. I'd like to think I take care of my vessels, but that isn't even remotely true. And right now, I need everything working perfectly for this particular task. The cost of failure is far too high.
I'll be honest, I didn't plan on any last minute heroics or any bug hunting for the foreseeable future. I planned on sipping whiskey while watching the Galnet feeds show each victory from the comfort of the Host's bridge. But... I can't help but feel the desperation of the situation we're finding ourselves in. When I saw the Pilot's Federation Alert, my heart sank. Up until now, I figured the AX lunatics that I used to fly with had the Titan situation under control. I felt comfortable leaving the war in their capable hands, but the desperation in that message... well, its all hands on deck. We all know the damage a Titan will do once it drops in. And if Seo is to be believed, we can't let it find what its looking for.
So, I'm gonna get as many people out of the Sol as I can. Fly the wings off this thing and once Cocijo comes calling, bring the guns of the Excalibur Invictus to bear on everything Thargoid and show them how big of a mistake invading Sol is. If Sol falls, Humanity falls. Fight like it Commanders. I will be.
Sol Invictus, o7.
