Meetup at Livingstone Point

Well this has been some kind of epic exploration trip, I estimate it's been more than 100,000ly for me, though I did begin by heading in completely the wrong direction, out to Colonia to drop off some stuff for my brother, and then on through the centre of the galaxy to check on his carrier. The point of the mission was to head to Tenebrae, the most easterly part of our galaxy, to search for potential colony locations.I set out in June, maybe May, it's been so long that I forget now. Today was a milestone though and this marks the near end of the trip. Hig Hurthenflurst, my friend and fellow commander who set out on the trip with me, met up today at Livingstone Point. It's the most distant southerly system ever reached in the galaxy. There's absolutely nothing interesting there but that's why I love it so much. If you want to get away from it all, then this is where you go.
It was great meeting up with Hig. I found a great place on a local moon for us to meet with an amazing view of the milky way galaxy behind us, I hope you all like it. After that we both met up in the bar at my carrier Olympus for a well deserved drink, and it was great news to hear that the bartender had stocked up on some Lavian brandy before we set off, many thanks to him.
Anyway tomorrow is really exciting. We both set off in our carriers for the Heart and Soul nebulae. These places are absolutely amazing, and really busy too, at least fifty mining bases are out there so there's plenty to get involved in, and as I'm wanting to open some tritium mines in Tenebrae there's some meetings I have scheduled with business leaders there. They've promised to tell me about some of the challenges they've faced and how they overcame them. No doubt, that'll be very helpful.
At this point I've enjoyed this trip out into the black so much that I'm feeling sad about heading back to the bubble. Then though, I remind myself of our plan to build a new colony all the way out at Tenebrae... and now I can't wait to get back.
