Happy New Year! 3310 is in the books, and what a year it was. New ships, setbacks and amazing feats were had. I just got back to my ship from a small New Years Celebration aboard The Observatory, and I thought I might reflect on the previous year.In 3310, Four new ships arrived this year, all absolutely stellar. We also saw the arrival of a monumental innovation in Supercruise technology, the Supercruise Overcharge (SCO) Frame Shift Drives, manufactured by Achilles Aerospace. This innovation has made traveling through star systems much quicker. Most Importantly, The tide was finally turned against the Thargoid menace in a major way. We learned how to hurt their Titan motherships, and destroyed them one by one. They tried to fight back and win, invading systems, pulling surprise moves, such as invading Shinrarta Dezhra. The bugs pulled their biggest move when the final titan Cocijo invaded Sol. That move must've been a poorly planned play, as Cocijo didn't last too much long after their vile fleet invaded Sol and the Core systems. The war may be over, I hope we've seen the last of the bugs, but who knows what they have planned.
In other news, TRCG is finally at war in the Shente system, after not having a conflict for almost a month, most of the Commanders in our ranks rushed to Shente to join the fight. We've been fighting hard, and I certainly feel bad for the poor saps fighting for the other side. I've fought in 10+ ground battles in this conflict, most were decisive victories but the last one was a tough fight, the enemy sent more reinforcements than usual, and they almost took the lead. We were able to beat them back though... Some of us with our bare hands. There's still two days left to win the conflict, and I'm sure we'll fight like hell and come out on top. As for tonight, I believe I'm gonna head back to the bar, get a few drinks, and socialize with some of my carrier's crew, then head to bed.
