What a way to start a new year, huh?

Been a few days of bounty hunting now to get back into the swing of things with human combat, and wow. Even in the Kandor, my highly engineered Eagle, I'm being out manoeuvred by pirates in Pythons and Fer-de-lances. When I thought I'd had my skin out of the game for too long, I didn't think I'd end up coming back to being THAT bad. And yet somehow I'm able to keep up with those same ships with my similarly engineered Corvette. Quite how, I don't know. But I can.

Much as I love the smaller ships, am I just not cut out for using them like I used to? Having tasted the fruits of the large ships, am I destined to fly them in combat now and forevermore? For exploration, trade, mining and more, smaller ships suit me just fine. Even Thargoid combat I can handle with a Krait. But engaging in ship combat against humans, or dare I say, fellow Commanders? It seems my control of them pale in comparison to my handling of the Gunmetal Soul.

Then again, Colonia wasn't built in a day, and my muscle memory clearly wasn't as developed as I'd hoped it would be, at least in regards to the smaller ships. I'll just have to begin again with them and put in the time once more. And if I'm in doubt, my Corvette will ever stand ready for me to dominate conflict zones and pirate hubs should the need arise. I'll get there eventually, I'm sure of it.

Just wish it didn't cost me so much to rearm my missiles on the Kandor. Seriously, upwards of 65K credits per small missile rack that isn't even fully engineered yet? What are they arming them with, plutonium-239?!
Do you like it?
