Location: Hyades Sector AQ-Y d81 - Wrecked Thargoid Mothership
Mission Objective:Investigate the wrecked Thargoid mothership to determine if any changes have occurred since the defeat of the titans in the Bubble. Additionally, compare genetic compositions between the Titans and the ancient crashed Thargoid mothership to validate theories of distinct Thargoid factions.
Findings:
Environmental Observations:No significant changes were noted at the crash site. The Thargoid Device within the wreck continues to function in the same manner as previously documented. Scavengers are still actively performing their tasks, seemingly unaffected by external developments.
Genetic Analysis:Using the genetic analyzer, we observed notable discrepancies between the genetic material of the Titans and the ancient Thargoid wreckage. These variations support my ongoing hypothesis that we are dealing with distinct Thargoid groups. Specifically:
The ancient Thargoids exhibit genetic traits that are markedly different from those of modern-day Thargoids.
These differences cannot be attributed solely to adaptation to the Mycoid virus deployed during the First Thargoid War.
Theoretical Implications:These findings lend credence to the idea of two separate Thargoid enclaves: the Oresrians and the Klaxxians. Evidence increasingly suggests that the Thargoids from the past differ fundamentally from those we encounter today. Tissue samples from both Interceptors and titans reveal consistent deviations when compared to those retrieved from wrecked Thargoid vessels of the First War.
Conclusion:
While definitive proof of the Oresrian and Klaxxian enclaves remains elusive, the genetic disparities observed are a compelling indicator of their existence. Further investigations are necessary to substantiate this theory and unravel the broader narrative of Thargoid evolution and factional divides.
This research was based on the physical differences between the wrecks of Interceptors from the First War and those of today. Differences between the original crashed motherships and the recently destroyed titans.
Personal Note: I doubt that Azimuth or Aegis would have missed these differences. Azimuth is a private organization that isn't exactly publicly transparent, but with Aegis, as a multinational research initiative funded by taxpayers, I wouldn't expect such secrecy. And I wonder about the reasoning behind keeping it hidden. Overall, it seems to me that even they are not sufficiently transparent. Several weeks have passed since the discovery of the pictogram in the audio spectrogram recorded near the wrecks of Titans, which suddenly started emitting this sound. And yet Aegis has said nothing. Seo Jin-Ae remains silent, or perhaps she is being forced to remain silent. Why is nothing happening?
