The Cobalt Squadron is the Independent Operations arm of the Amarishvaru Advanced Holdings Corporation and their subsidiary Kushala Galaxy Tours, an affiliation they have maintained since July 3306. The squadron's unofficial formation in late 3306 was in response to the growing need for larger scale operations on behalf of Amarishvaru Advanced Holdings, once the Corporation retook control of its home system of Amarishvaru from the People's Cigui Alliance.

Cobalt itself is a small, tight knit group of pilots fiercely loyal to Her Majesty the Emperor Arissa Lavigny-Duval despite their corporatist tendencies, but the larger organizations for whom they operate encourage free association from independent Imperial pilots who wish to help maintain positive conditions in the area around the Cigui, Ambibeb and Amarishvaru systems, the current border between the Emperor's space and that of Federation Shadow President Felicia Winters.

Following multiple changes to the galactopolitical landscape in 3307, the Amarishvaru Advanced Holdings Corporation, or 'AAHC', lost control of their home system and main depot in Ambibeb, but have since concluded appropriate negotiations to undertake their operations as leaders in the sector, while supporting other Imperial factions whose territories reach the border, as well as the interests of the Emperor.

Pilots wishing to join AAHC operations are always welcome in their space, particularly Cigui, and the current public status and missions can be accessed from the appropriate documents. Pilots wishing to join Kushala Galaxy Tours as scouts, explorers, or passenger transport specialists can find most of their work in Cigui, Hakkaia, and Kremata (pilots with this as their primary activity may be accepted into Cobalt directly to grant access to Tourism based Squadron Bookmarks). Pilots wishing to join Cobalt Squadron itself should prove themselves within AAHC and then reach out through the appropriate channels. Those who just drift by and help, or pass through when times are tough, we thank you all for your assistance and hope to return the favor someday.
