Hello Commanders,

The Purple Star Party is an independent cooperative of commanders who seek to restore the unity and prosperity of the Federation. We believe that the Federation has been torn apart by internal conflicts, corruption, and external threats, and we aim to reform it with a new vision and leadership. We are not loyal to any specific power, but we support those who share our vision of a peaceful and democratic Federation.

We welcome commanders of all backgrounds, skills, and interests, as long as they respect our core values and principles. We offer a friendly and supportive community, where you can find wingmates, mentors, and friends. We also participate in various activities, such as mining, trading, bounty hunting, exploration, and combat, both in PvE and PvP. We are especially interested in the mysteries of the Thargoids, and we cooperate with other xeno-friendly factions to promote peaceful coexistence.

If you are looking for a squadron that is fun, active, and ambitious, then join The Purple Star Party today! You can find us here where you can apply for membership and learn more about our history, mission, and operations. You can also contact our founder, CMDR Carthold Mnalguz, for any questions or inquiries. We look forward to flying with you, commander.

-Our History-
Founded on the 23rd of June, 3308 by CMDR Carthold Mnalguz in response to the political upheaval before and after the firing of the Proteus Wave and the disenfranchisement by Federal factions. In an attempt to create an independent cooperative in LP 726-6, Carthold retreated a Federal faction. This led to the July 21st Invasion by the Earth Defence Fleet. When war broke out between LP Free and the EDF, the Solar Bridge Corp (which later merged with Reforge Aegis) reached out to give us military aid and the TPSP joined the Independent Naval Coalition for diplomatic support. TPSP then took part in Operation Wych Hunt to prevent the firing of the Proteus Wave, and aligned with Xeno factions to de-escalate the war before the arrival of the Maelstroms. Eventually bringing the Anti-Xeno-Initiative a diplomatic attempt to end xeno-hunting in Merope, while they did not, they agreed to send troops to escort the Xeno-Peace megaship Kingfisher and to give it an avenue of retreat. Operation Reforge Aegis offered a coalition to the TPSP in the first days of the war, and then we initiated a coalition between Aegis and the AXI. We supported the Marlinists by attempting to find a peaceful solution to their conflict with the Close Encounters Corp in Concordia. While the Kingfisher failed in its mission, we joined Operation Halcyon headed by The YKE Network to repair and evacuate the megaship. We continue to work with the Reforge Aegis coalition and the Independant Naval Coalition.

-Mission Statement-
Our goal is to provide a community that fosters relationships between players from different backgrounds and ideologies; to get better at this game together. To contribute gameplay opportunities that increase player wealth and enjoyment. To construct a place where players can express their opinions and views on the politics of the game in relation to the real world, and moderate discussion towards insightful conclusions. We hope to solidify the ideals that are connected to the anti-xeno agency of Aegis: when humanity faces a threat, if we join our forces we can prevail. Our ongoing mission is to increase cooperation and independence in human space.

-General Policy-
-Educate each other on how to play the game and teach skills to improve their proficiency.
-Treat each other with respect. Absolutely no harassment, witch hunting, sexism, racism or hate speech will be tolerated in any form.
-The discussion or posting of anything NSFW will be banned and reported.
-Keep discussions that are about politics, society, and religion out of the game and server if they are not related to the lore.
-If you see something, say something.

-Game Policy-
- Have fun, and make credits. But not at the expense of other Commanders.
- Have some common sense, and think outside the box. Find solutions to problems that you didn't think were possible.
- Self defense is encouraged, but attempt to find alternatives to conflict.
- Be respectful in system chat, you represent us out there.
- Playing in the open is a must. It's fun, just don't fly without a rebuy.
- No botting or combat logging; don’t cheat.
- Do not report crimes while engaged in powerplay related BGS activities, otherwise keep it on if you need some backup.
- Never report crimes while working with other squadrons if they do not, and notify us of incidents.
- Do not use fighters during PvP battles, find a wing instead.
- Ganking and unsanctioned crimes by members will be investigated.

-Server Guidelines-
- Communicate respectfully by letting people take their time to respond and take turns in a conversation.
- Language is complex, what a word means for you can have a completely different definition for someone else.
- Remember that the person you are talking to is a human being with feelings and values.
- If you meet someone of a different belief than you, sometimes hearing them out leads to understanding their perspective, even if you don't agree with it.
-Recognize your own biases and how what you've experienced has shaped you, and how other people may have had the exact opposite experiences.
- Hold moderators accountable, if you have any suggestions or concerns, we're here to help.

-TPSP Squadron Organization-
-Scouting Wing:
-Scouting is vital to providing data updates for faction movements and commodity prices by visiting systems and stations. Search and rescue will be conducted through this wing.

-Fleet Command:
-Fleet Command is the military arm of the TPSP. Handling all BGs, PVP, anti-xeno, and anti-ganking patrols, Fleet Command is always looking for those who wish to defend the freedom of humanity on any front.

-Trade Guild:
-The Trade Guild deals with all our economic
operations including hauling, mining, and passenger missions. If you're a space trucker this is your place to call home.

-Science Corps:
-The Science Corps handles all our exploration endeavors. From exobiology, to guardian ruins and mapping the fringe of the galactic plane, the Science Corps is always looking to further humanities knowledge.

-Diplomatic Council:
-Commanders in this council will be responsible for maintaining relations with other squadrons, drafting diplomatic agreements, mediating discussions, and conducting squadron votes. Displaying general knowledge of the history of Sol is recommended.

The discord server is under construction.

-Political Platform-
-On the Thargoid Conflict:
-First and foremost we support Operation Wych Hunt. The Thargoid threat can be solved without needing a demagogue. As for the Thargoids themselves, we believe our incursion into their territory without first attempting to communicate peacefully led to our current situation. We however support anti-xeno operations on the grounds of saving lives that are immediately in danger. Despite being speculative, we believe that Thargoids act much like bees. Space bees. Fertilizing and pollenating systems around the galaxy with biological materials. They've been here since before the Guardians, and they'll probably be here long after we're gone. Especially if we 'kick the hornets nest'.

-On the extension of Zackary Hudson's presidency:
-We believe a careful balance can be made. A presidential election during a time of chaos and confusion can be a detrimental distraction. But the fact that his supporters worked to harm the previous president makes us want to ensure that other voices are heard around Hudson. He's a good man, albeit stubborn. We believe that we should take special action to make shadow president Felicia Winters a part of the president's cabinet during his extension. Bipartisanship breeds stability.

-On Federal Cooperatives:
-We believe cooperatives could be a great asset to the Federation but years of Imperial  and Communist scaremongering has kept this form of government unapproved by the Federation. If our travels to Colonia taught us anything its that cooperatives can create a great atmosphere of unity and shared work. If hierarchies form its because of a natural tenancy of uplifting and electing the best among us, instead of wading through a political swamp of campaign financing to get a partisan talking head elected. At one point while I was at Jaques Station, I thought how the Colonia Bridge Project might bring the horrors of the bubble with it. But I've realized it rubbed off on me, and we need to bring it here. To the Federation.

-On Corporate Overreach:
-Large mega corporations have taken over too much, their abuse of power must be reigned in. Non-native corporations must work with system locals to allow periodical transfer of assets and control. We must hold them accountable for being unbalanced, and ensure that autocratic and social governments are not snuffed out by constant corporate control. Corporations can be a great tool, but can bring great harm through constant war for system assets.

-On improving diplomatic relations throughout the human space:
-Too much of the unwritten rules of engagement and policies go uncodified by many squadrons and is therefore unknown to many commanders. We suggest an effort to ratify the community guidelines of commander factions. This would include creating a diplomatic communication network to help the people find more peaceful solutions to our conflicts and to note the political climate of specific systems.

-As historians of Sol, we always  call back to the words of the first president of the United States:
"The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries, which result, gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of Public Liberty."-George Washington's Farewell Address

-We believe the executive powers of the Federal President and the cabinet should be split into a council of five individuals, elected based on their expertise and experience:
The Commander In Chief
The President of Diplomacy
The President  of International Trade
The President of  Homeland Security
The President of Domestic Trade
