The history of Albion Interstellar
Founded in 2324 by the Duval family to supply Achenar defense forces against the Federation in the battle of Achenar. We eventually started doing covert ops to disrupt federation supply lines to Achenar. We were good at it. After we helped defeat the oppressors we began taking odd jobs from different independent colonies around the Achenar system. Scouting, policing, natural disaster relief, VIP security, ECT.. We began making a name for ourselves as a do it all task force.In 2342 we took a contract deal with Sirius Corp., The new big kid on the block, This was the first time AI was really making money.
In 2379 to '81 We were tasked by Sirius to provide security and logistics support for Sirius's mediation of the Federation and Empire formal peace treaty.
In 2381 the treaty was signed. The Federation officially recognized the Empire and we were asked to help in the construction of the Hall of Martyrs.
Over the next 300+ years we made a name for ourselves as freedom fighters.
In 2725 the first official combat unit in AI was stamped. Albion Interstellar Navy Squadron[AINS]: This was due to the sale of the new GalCorp Python. Its modular design allowed them to be outfitted for specific jobs. Removing the need to have a different ship for each job gave small security companies like AI a chance to compete for larger jobs.
In 2765 the Albion Interstellar Special Operations[AISO] was founded. This unit was made up mostly of the new Viper Defense Craft. Much smaller, faster, and cooler than the Python it was perfect for getting in and out undetected. Still had the modular feature which gave it the needed flexibility.
From 2815 to '50 AI would see two commissions applied for and approved by Tys'un Raknrog, Chief Senior Officer, of AI. Firstly, Albion Exploration and Research Commission[AERC] is founded to investigate the mysterious disappearances in the Pleiades Nebula. The Sirius Corp. funds the commission in the beginning. Next, Albion Commission of Trade and Commerce[ACTC] is founded to strengthen AI's independent funding and removed dependency on large corporations like Sirius.
In the year 3000 Albion Interstellar opens its first official Pilot Academy, Albion Interstellar Navy Academy[AINA]. AINA is open to anyone willing to enroll even if they are not an active member of AI.
Over the next 300+ years Albion Interstellar continues to be an independent group that is willing to work with anyone if the goal is peace and independence. The current CSO Hark Pendragon coined this phrase when describing AI "Working as a unit to accomplish the impossible. Through Exploration, Research, and Science we find advancement and progress. Through Trade, Commerce, and Logistics we unite people with culture and goods. Through strong military and even stronger leaders we give people a safe place to live the way the want to live and pursue their dreams."
In 3307 CSO Hark Pendragon officially registers Albion Interstellar as whole with the Galactic Summit to be recognized as an official squadron and no longer a shadow group. Registry was approved. Albion Interstellar officially Est. 8th of June 3307
