INTERSTELLAR EXPEDITIONARY FORCE (IXPF)

1. History: IXPF is a private aerospace military and exploration force that was chartered on Earth in 3306 by a coalition of former military pilots, explorers, and entrepreneurs who sought to put their lifetimes of service and expertise to uses more fitting with their ambitious vision. There was a collective desire among the founding Commanders to fully embrace the freedom and independence to be had in space, away from the strict and regimented predictability of the garrisons and boardrooms they wanted to leave behind, so they took to the stars. Today, IXPF proudly represents all the people of Sol and their allies.

2. Home System: Sol (M. Gorbachev station)

3. Forward Operating Base: Hahn Ring, Dongkum System - In order to receive the Sol system permit, all pilots wishing will need to obtain at least the rank of Petty Officer with the Federal Navy. This FOB was established as the Entry & Processing depot for pilots who still need Federal rank.

3. Playstyle: PvE

4. Organization & Hierarchy: IXPF was created around the ideals of independence, self-reliance, and the pursuit of a better future. Though there is a formal Headquarters Element in place, their duties are primarily administrative in nature, as each individual Commander who joins our ranks is empowered to pursue their own destiny. With that in mind, IXPF is organized into four distinct "active-duty" wings (see below). The role of leadership is to facilitate the ease of operations for our members, not to micromanage their careers.

"SKULL SQUADRON"

I. Aviation Combat Wing - For Pilots focused on ship-to-ship combat, bounty hunting, conflict zones, and armed escort.
II. IXPF Commando Corps - For Pilots wishing to volunteer for surface warfare missions and armed escort for surface mining and exobiology operations.
III. Logistics & Supply Wing - For Pilots focused on trading, cargo hauling, mining, or otherwise establishing new corporate relationships and generating revenue.
IV. Exploration & Reconnaissance Wing - For Pilots focused on astral exploration, mapping, and interstellar reconnaissance.

(a) Pilots are free to carry out operations with any/all wings at their will, though each individual ship must be officially assigned to one of the three Wings, and should update its ID prefixes in accordance with the Ship ID Prefix naming convention.

(b) The IXPF does not adhere to a traditional military hierarchy. We are a coalition of independent Pilots, coming from all corners of Sol. There is no discrimination against any Pilot on the basis of politics and/or faction support. That is your business and your business alone. However, we do recognize the commitment and dedication of our pilots by way of an internal promotion policy based upon total time in service. Promotions to these non-command ranks are meritorious and for organizational and recognition purposes, and are not meant to establish military hierarchy. (See below)
