Joining the Squadron FAQ
Join Endurance Exploration for new friends and exploration adventures. Whether you are an experienced CMDR or just starting out on your galaxy adventure, ENEX could be the squadron for you!
1. How do I join the Squadron?
Joining Endurance Exploration is easy and we offer a warm welcome to CMDRs new and old. The squadron can be found by searching the squadron panel using the ENEX tag or Endurance Exploration name.
2. I’m new to Elite Dangerous, can I still join the squadron?
Absolutely. We welcome all CMDRs regardless of experience. The squadron has a great community of CMDRs who can help with all aspects of being a commander including upgrading ships, getting more credits, improving ground combat skills, affording a fleet carrier, suit/weapon improvements, and more.
3. What is the squadron’s role?
ENEX fills a wide variety of functions for CMDRs. Endurance Exploration gives CMDRs the opportunity to make their own choices but reap the benefits of a friendly org providing help as and when it’s needed. Fly with other squadron CMDRs or continue flying alone with ENEX’s support structure backing you up. You can choose. Get in touch if you need any help or advice.
4. Does the Squadron support a power?
No. We remain an independent squadron so do not back any of the powers in the galaxy. CMDRs are, however, free to support whomever they wish.

5. Is the Squadron just interested in exploration?
Although exploration is a big part of the org, it has interests in many other areas of activity within the Elite Dangerous galaxy including AX combat, bounty hunting, rescue, mining, trading, expeditions, and excursions that cover combat, trading, community goals, Guardian and Thargoid sites, material gathering, etc
6. Does Endurance Exploration have a home system?
Yes. The LHS 5333 system has been officially adopted and BGS support operations are taking place on behalf of the Tigurd Shared faction.
7. Does the Squadron have its own private group?
Yes. The private group is, however, only available to squadron members. Contact us via Discord, Twitter, in-game, or via INARA to get details about how to join.
8. I have a fleet Carrier. If I join, do I have to follow a specific naming convention?
No. We don’t require specific names for carriers. Some Endurance Exploration carriers carry the prefix code [ENEX] in the name i.e. ‘[ENEX] Hebridean Isles’ but that is optional.

9. How active is the squadron?
The squadron is very active with a variety of activities covering trade, exploration, combat, and more. Operations for BGS and combat take place regularly too. We also have a yearly Endurance Expedition that heads way out into the black to explore new systems and scan exobiology.
We welcome Squadron members creating their own excursions for squadron members to participate in.
10. Does the Squadron have a Discord server?
Yes. The Endurance Exploration Squadron Discord can be found HERE
11. Does Endurance Exploration have an official Twitch stream?
Yes, it does! ENEX’s very own CMDR Dirk Hatch streams most weekdays from around 11 am UTC.
Check out the stream at https://www.twitch.tv/cmdrhatch
12. How do I keep up to date with what’s going on?
The Squadron Discord is updated regularly with what’s going on but we also recognize that not every CMDR wants to use the Discord platform.
CMDRs can find news and subscribe to the website’s update emails which are sent whenever a new post is added to the site. Look for the subscribe box on the homepage at https://enduranceexploration.co.uk
