Both of my parents were miners, working hard to extract resources for the benefit of no-name company people and higher-ups that never gave a damn about them. They did the best they could with what they had, I'll never utter a negative word about how I was raised. Despite their long and grueling work, they still managed to nurture my developing mind, instilling in me a sense of adventure and a thirst for knowledge about the wider universe. That is, until they were slaughtered on the job. A "workplace accident" the company called it--a bullshit translation of "pirate attack due to woeful security forces." An Imperial company couldn't take blame. I left Njiri, taking on the surname of Osiris. My mother was an avid collector of Earth history books, and one devoted to the history and culture of the ancient Egyptians always caught my eye growing up. I quickly found work as a bounty hunter and mercenary, using my skills to track down dangerous criminals, pirates, and other rogue elements for the highest bidder, and sometimes just for the satisfaction.
One day I was given the opportunity to join the Pilots Federation, and in 3308 I officially became a Commander. Armed with my own Sidewinder "The Moonless Night," a few credits, and my trusty rifle and sidearm, I plunged deep back into the life of nomadic bounty and mercenary work while slowly rising through the ranks of the Federal Navy. Along the way, I made some friends from a Private Military Company who started pooling their resources and expertise together to form Pegasus Transport Services.
While finishing up a drink at a concourse bar after raiding a pirate settlement for a job, I noticed a card stuck to the bottom of my glass.
"Welcome to the Family," it said etched in purple, with a Pegasus Transport Services logo and a meeting place for the company on the flip side.
"It'll be nice to finally have a home again," I thought, and without hesitation accepted the invite to register for Pegasus, and made my way to my new home
