TL Armoured Transport CEO Khalin Kilrain Responds to Federation President Winters Inaugural Comments
In a rare public appearance for the TLATC CEO, Khalin Kilrain offered a few comments regarding the statements made by new Federation President winters in her inaugural address:
“I pledge to work for the benefit of each and every individual within our Federation. My administration will redirect funding away from corporations toward improving health, public services and quality of life. Together, we will launch a new era of optimism and opportunity!”
"I'm sure the people of Rhea will benefit greatly. Out in the dominions this means very little. Unless your name is Core Dynamics or Caine-Massey, you don't see this money, so I don't expect to see any funds reach Deneb Algedi for any health or public service initiatives either. Fact of the matter is years ago years ago this system was abandoned by the Federation to a bunch of inbred monarchists, and Winters stood by for years and watched the exploitation of the people here in deteriorating conditions and did nothing. WE corrected this injustice. The corporations have been the ones providing health and public services and improving the lives of everyone here, and will continue to do so, with or more likely without Federal dollars. "
“My first act is to order the Federal Intelligence Agency to shut down the Proactive Detection Bureau. The illegal surveillance of all communication ends now. We will propose to Congress that the Domestic Counter-Terrorism Act of 3307 is revoked, allowing our Federal Accord to uphold each citizen’s constitutional right to privacy.”
"How can an activity be deemed "illegal" when it is performed by writ of settled legislation? I object to the mischaracterization. The Counter-Terrorism act was passed with bilateral support in 3307. Sure, not everybody liked the idea, but it made our lives safer. Ask yourself, why we needed the PDB in the first place: because of the actions of the son of our new Vice President. "
Kilrain went on to add: "You run for president of the Federation to do the job. Instead of doing the job Winters sat at home for almost a year before finally being sworn in. Yes I know there were some personal things going on, but it sounds to me like she's just not that enthused about being the new President. This is the same weak behavior that earned her a vote of no confidence after Halsey went missing, that ousted her from office in the first place. We need strong leadership out here in the periphery because this is where the real work and business of the Federation gets done, not in Rhea or the core systems. With that in mind, TLATC will be throwing its support behind Jerome Archer."
