Neon Frontier Lore

In the year 3307, amidst the chaos of the Thargoid threat and factional power struggles, a new group of independent commanders emerged, known as Neon Frontier. Unlike many other squadrons, Neon Frontier refuses to align themselves with the major superpowers. While sympathetic to the Alliance and its goals of cooperation, we maintain our independence, operating on the fringes of galactic society.

Many of Neon Frontier’s founding members were inspired by the cyberpunk worlds of Earth’s past, where technology reigned supreme, and power was often held by corrupt mega-corporations. Echoes of these ancient societies can still be felt in the modern galactic superpowers like the Empire and Federation, which control entire star systems with a cold, metallic grip. But the Neon Frontier refuses to be constrained. Founded by a group of ex-mercenaries and hackers, including those who once walked the neon-lit streets of Earth’s and Achenar’s mega-cities, the squadron rejects the idea of centralized control.

The Spirit of Neon Frontier
Inspired by the legends of figures like Johnny Silverhand and Adam Jensen, Neon Frontier pilots live on the edge of both social conventions and space instead, in our own bottom-up organized communities, where technology becomes a tool of rebellion and collective independence. Our ships are tricked out with high-tech mods, blending the latest in human innovation with ancient, forgotten technologies. But unlike a lot of other renegade factions, Neon Frontier believes in freedom without unnecessary conflict. We are the chaotic good folks in every story, the Doctor to your Who.

We roam the stars, not as conquerors but as explorers, rebels against a galaxy ruled by capitalist mega-corporations, dictatorships, and the relentless spin of a non-stopping media cycle. But our spirit is not just one of rejection, it is also one of embrace. Our focus is on the joy of discovery whether it's ancient ruins or a star system no one has mapped before. However, if attacked we fight back. And if we got a city to burn to save our friends, we burn it!
