MON Live Broadcast: Uprising at Dogo Mineralogic C

[On-Screen: Mebech Orbital News—Live from Dogo Mineralogic Complex]

The camera flickers to life, revealing Vanessa Rodriguez, the seasoned field reporter for Mebech Orbital News, standing amidst a growing crowd of distressed workers. The scene is chaotic—miners, technicians, and their families gather outside the gates of Dogo Mineralogic Complex, their voices rising in angry protest. Makeshift signs sway in the air, and the tension is palpable.

Vanessa stands in the thick of it, her expression focused, but a hint of concern traces her features as she holds the microphone tightly. Behind her, the sprawling complex looms like a cold, indifferent giant, its landing pads and industrial buildings shadowing the unrest below.

Vanessa Rodriguez:
"Good evening, Mebech. This is Vanessa Rodriguez reporting live from the Dogo Mineralogic Complex, where what started as a peaceful protest has now turned into a full-blown workers' riot. Hundreds of miners and technicians have gathered here today, demanding justice after the Monarchy of Votama confiscated vital relief donations intended for the workers and their families."

She pauses, the camera panning across the increasingly agitated crowd, capturing their chants of frustration and anger.

Vanessa Rodriguez (cont’d):
"The people of Mebech donated generously, sending credits and equipment to assist these workers in rebuilding their lives after the devastating conflict between the Monarchy and the Ice Storm Squadron. However, instead of receiving the much-needed aid, the Monarchy has declared these donations as 'government assets' and, in some cases, even accused the workers of accepting bribes from foreign powers to incite rebellion.

Tensions have risen further as many of these workers have seen their loved ones conscripted into the Monarchy’s military to fight in a foreign war in Alpha Volantis. These workers are pleading for relief from their crushing debts, debts they claim they have more than paid through years of labor and forced military service."

The camera zooms in on the faces of the protesters. A middle-aged miner, his face smeared with the soot of countless shifts deep below the planet’s surface, steps forward.

Miner:
"We work ourselves to the bone down here. Our brothers, our children are being sent off to fight in a war that has nothing to do with us! They told us it was our duty, to pay off what we owed. But what about the loyalty we've shown? We’ve given everything, and now they take away even the help that our own people sent us? How much more do they want?!"

Vanessa nods, absorbing the miner’s frustration, before the camera shifts to a group of technicians who are waving signs calling for the Monarchy’s downfall.

Vanessa Rodriguez (voiceover):
"The workers' demands have grown more radical in recent days. Many are now calling for the complete dissolution of the Monarchy’s control over the Dogo Mineralogic Complex. They want new leadership—a more capable employer that will prioritize the welfare of its workers, not siphon off their hard-earned relief in the name of royal entitlement."

The camera cuts, now showing a sleek, imposing Imperial Cutter parked nearby. Vanessa is escorted by armed guards towards the ship, her expression serious as she moves towards a man waiting just inside the ramp of the ship. He is dressed in ornate military regalia, his face stern and unwavering.

Vanessa Rodriguez (to the camera):
"I’ve just been granted an interview with the Monarchy of Votama’s Reeve, Lemuel Roman, who has come to address the situation."

The camera focuses on Reeve Lemuel Roman, who stands with an air of haughty authority. His eyes narrow slightly as Vanessa poses her questions.

Vanessa Rodriguez:
"Reeve Roman, the workers here claim their donations have been confiscated, and many have been forced to fight in a foreign war to pay off old debts. How does the Monarchy respond to these allegations?"

Reeve Lemuel Roman (coldly):
"The Crown has every right to enforce its will. Those who owe debts—whether they be miners, technicians, or so-called serfs—must repay them, and in times of war, that repayment comes in the form of military service. It is not the Crown’s burden to provide excuses for those who would shirk their duty.

As for the confiscation of credits, I assure you that any foreign donations must be investigated as potential bribes from agents of chaos. The Crown is under attack from external forces, and these rebellious actions only further prove that certain elements are working to destabilize our rule."

Vanessa presses on, undeterred.
Vanessa Rodriguez:
"But Reeve, many workers here argue that they have already given their loyalty—through years of labor and even the lives of their family members. Some are demanding a complete end to the Monarchy’s rule over Dogo. What do you say to those calling for your removal?"

Reeve Roman’s expression hardens.

Reeve Lemuel Roman:
"Disloyalty is not tolerated in the Crown's territories. Those who persist in such treasonous demands will face harsh repercussions. This is the law of the land, and we will enforce it. If they wish to challenge the Crown, then they will see how quickly their rebellion crumbles under the weight of the justice we provide."

The tension is palpable as the camera cuts away from the grim-faced Reeve. Vanessa turns back to the camera, her voice steady despite the intensity of the situation.

Vanessa Rodriguez:
"As you can see, the situation here remains incredibly volatile. The workers are demanding change, but the Monarchy stands firm, unwilling to relinquish its grip over Dogo. For now, the protests continue, but the future of this complex—and its people—hangs in the balance."

[The camera cuts to the Mebech Orbital News newsroom]

The screen shifts back to the polished news desk inside Howard Hub, where Henri Jean-Louis, the lead anchor, sits across from Jay Miranda, the powerful Director of Mebech Netcoms Limited. The studio is a stark contrast to the chaos outside Dogo, with its clean lines and soft lighting. Miranda sits with a quiet confidence, his fingers lightly resting on the table as Henri leans forward to address him.

Henri Jean-Louis:
"Jay, what do you make of this growing unrest? The workers at Dogo seem to be demanding exactly what your company has been offering—more freedom, more opportunity. What are your thoughts?"

Miranda smiles slightly, as if expecting the question.

Jay Miranda:
"The people of Mebech have suffered for a long time under the iron fist of the Monarchy. It’s not so different from what we saw with the Earls of Mebech, the previous owners of Christian Works. The workers under their rule had no voice, no opportunities for growth.

But things changed when Mebech Netcoms Limited took over. Under my leadership, we’ve given the workers of Christian Works more freedom, more opportunity, and most importantly, a new outlook on life. They’re no longer shackled to outdated systems of oppression.

And now, it’s clear that the workers at Dogo—those who are being squeezed dry by this foreign monarchy—are looking for that same opportunity. They’re looking for a way out, a way to build something for themselves and their families."

Henri nods as Miranda continues, his voice growing more impassioned.

Jay Miranda:
"Mebechians should be led by Mebechians. We understand each other. We help each other in times of need. This foreign monarchy, they don’t care about the people—they only care about power, about squeezing every last drop of service and coin from them. It’s time for a change, and I believe that change is coming."

Miranda then looks directly into the camera, his voice steady and reassuring.

Jay Miranda:
"Mebech Netcoms Limited, and all who share our company’s values, will never abandon the good people of Argon Forge (Mebech C 1). We will continue to stand by you, as we always have."

Henri Jean-Louis smiles as the camera pans back to him.

Henri Jean-Louis:
"Thank you, Jay, for that insight. We’ll be following this story closely as the situation develops. And now, a word from our sponsors: Mebech Netcoms Limited, bringing freedom and opportunity to the people of Mebech."

The screen fades to black as the broadcast ends.
