Mebech Orbital News – Special Report

Broadcast from Howard’s Hub

Anchor: Henri Jean-Louie
Field Reporter: Vanessa Rodriguez

Henri Jean-Louie:
Good evening, Mebechians. We have breaking news tonight that will shape the future of our system for generations. After a fierce and bloody conflict, the war between our own Mebech Netcoms Limited and the Imperial Monarchy of Votama has come to a resounding end.

Vanessa Rodriguez is live at Ostwald Holdings, where the remnants of the Monarchy's forces have formally surrendered to Mebech Netcoms Limited. Vanessa, what can you tell us?

Vanessa Rodriguez (on location):
Thank you, Henri. As I speak, the scene here at Ostwald Holdings is both somber and victorious. Mebechians have gathered to witness history unfold as the last of the Monarchy’s forces, defeated and demoralized, surrender to our system's rightful protectors.

Just hours ago, a remarkable sight filled the skies above. Monarchy drop ships, battered and scarred from weeks of warfare, descended in formation—a march of surrender. And above them, casting its shadow over their defeated fleet, was none other than the legendary "Spear of Sol,", alongside "Arrowhead," the newly renamed vessel, which honors the strength and resilience of native Mebechians.

The sheer presence of these vessels, symbols of defiance and victory, ensured that not a single shot was fired as the Monarchy made its final march.

Footage plays of the Monarchy's drop ships descending toward the surface of Mebech, moving slowly, with their weapons systems powered down. In the distance, Spear of Sol looms like a judge overseeing their fate, while the Arrowhead stands silent, a guardian of peace.

Vanessa Rodriguez (voiceover):
This war began with a protest—a rebellion of workers at Dogo Mineralogic Complex who could no longer stand the yoke of the Monarchy's rule. When the Monarch’s forces arrived to quell the rebellion, they expected to crush resistance with swift brutality. What they didn’t expect was the response from Mebech Netcoms Limited.

For weeks, the people of Mebech have endured a system-wide conflict. Skirmishes broke out in and around Dogo Mineralogic Complex, where Mebech Netcoms Limited forces were deployed to keep the peace. Fighting spilled across the stars, with battles raging over Daedalin Labyrinth (Mebech C 2) and Icararin Hold (Mebech C 3). Ships came and went from Ostwald Holdings, with many bearing the scars of combat.

The tide of war was perhaps most dramatically felt in the cold reaches around Glacia Mortem (Mebech C 5), where Mebech Netcoms Limited and the Monarchy of Votama engaged in several major space battles. Capital ships traded broadsides, filling the void with fire and steel, as the future of our system hung in the balance.

Footage rolls of massive battles above Glacia Mortem—Imperial capital ships and Mebech Netcoms Limited vessels exchanging devastating fire. Explosions light up the darkness of space, ships listing and breaking apart.

Vanessa Rodriguez (onscreen):
In the end, Mebech Netcoms Limited proved to be an unstoppable force. Their victory was overwhelming, leaving no doubt about who controls the future of this system. The people of Mebech can finally celebrate, for the war is over, and they can return to their work and lives in a more secure, peaceful system.

Henri Jean-Louie (in studio):
Vanessa, this is truly a monumental day for Mebech. Many feared the Imperial Monarchy of Votama’s aggression would tear our system apart. But now, thanks to the leadership of Mebech Netcoms Limited , our people can breathe easier.

And what an image—those Monarchy ships surrendering under the watchful eyes of the "Spear of Sol" and the newly christened "Arrowhead." It's a reminder of how far we’ve come as a system.

Vanessa Rodriguez (onscreen):
Absolutely, Henri It shows that even amidst the chaos of war, the true spirit of our people remains at the forefront.

Henri Jean-Louie (in studio):
Indeed. And speaking of the future, we are fortunate to have a special guest with us here in the studio tonight—none other than Jay Miranda, CEO of Mebech Netcoms Limited, and the man who helped lead us to this victory. Jay, welcome.

Jay Miranda (onscreen, sitting with Henri):
Thank you, Henri. It’s an honor to be here tonight on such a pivotal day for our system.

Henri Jean-Louie:
Jay, you’ve just heard Vanessa’s report about the war and the Monarchy’s surrender. How do you feel about the outcome of this conflict?

Jay Miranda:
This victory is not just for Mebech Netcoms Limited—it’s for the people of Mebech. For too long, our system has been under the thumb of outside forces. First, the Earls of Mebech, and now the Monarchy of Votama. But we’ve shown that Mebechians are strong, that we stand together.

The war may be over, but the fight for our future continues. At Christian Works, we’ve given our workers opportunity, freedom, and a new outlook on life. We’ve made it clear that when Mebechians are led by their own, by people who understand their struggles, the system prospers.

The people of Dogo Mineralogic Complex were crying out for change, and they deserve the same freedom and opportunity. I believe this war was a turning point. Now that the Monarchy has been defeated, we can rebuild and ensure that Mebech is led by Mebechians, for Mebechians.

Henri Jean-Louie:
That’s a powerful message, Jay. You’ve been a leader not only in business but also in securing the future of this system. Is there anything else you’d like to say to the people watching tonight?

Jay Miranda (turning to the camera):
To the people of Mebech, this victory is yours. You have endured hardships, faced down tyrants, and emerged stronger. Mebech Netcoms Limited will continue to stand by you, and we will never abandon you. Together, we will build a brighter future.

And to the people of Argon Forge and beyond—this is just the beginning. We fought for your freedom, and now it’s time to make the most of it. The shadow of the Monarchy is gone, and in its place is the promise of opportunity.

We will continue to make Mebech a place where everyone has a chance to thrive. That is our pledge, and together, we will make it a reality.

Henri Jean-Louie (smiling):
Thank you, Jay. And thank you, Vanessa, for your reporting from the field. That concludes our special broadcast on this momentous occasion. The war in Mebech is over, and our future looks brighter than ever.

Now, a word from our sponsors, Mebech Netcoms Limited.
