LIVING HISTORYIn February 3303 the Legion Expeditionary Force (LEF) was formed by pilots sharing a common vision. A vision that there is more to see than that of the known bubble. The birth of Legion was marked by the launch of a cartography expedition team to the Formidine Rift in late February. Since their return, the LEF has conducted another expedition to Hawkins's Gap to further explore the mysteries of what is now known as "The Dynasty Project". However both expeditions have resulted in loss of life, due to the inexperience of newer pilots. A pilot bracket that the LEF refuses to neglect.

In late March 3303, the LEF embarked on yet another expedition to another "Dynasty" site, The Conflux. This trip was also plagued by misfortune as the mission leader was sucked into a neutron star about midway through the journey to the site. However he was able to recoup his loss and join members on ground less than a day later. The LEF team spent a total of 26 hours on ground and was back at their home of Olivas City by the third day.

On April 1st, 3303, the LEF departed LHS 3505 for the SADR Nebula in order to conduct a cartography training operation, and to refine the data collection methods implemented by the LEF command group. The Expedition took two days to complete, and involved 5 commanders. The operation was a huge success and was concluded by a shared drink of Lavian Brandy deep inside the Nebula under the light of the star SADR, an F class super-giant.

In the late hours of April 10th, 3303. LEF departed known space to respond to a distress call that was received by the Federation and empire, deep within the COL 70 SECTOR. An area of space that has long been inaccessible. After hours of trying to navigate to the location, LEF finally had boots on ground. However, LEF was not able to enter the COL 70 SECTOR due to navigational errors with their ships' on-board computers. After several days of being on site, unable to accomplish their mission, the expedition team returned home.

The date was April 24th, 3303 when LEF set out to run a cartography and analytical operation in the three areas connected to the Dynasty Project, in order to finalize the LEF Database with the remaining info needed to cross-reference any points of interest found between the sites. The mission was a resounding success in all three sites thanks to the hard work and dedication of several members of LEF. Special mention goes out to CMDRs MISTA LOON, and Skaterboy48 for their diligence in cartography and to CMDR bb942 for his thorough investigation of the recently discovered mega ship.

Weeks after the community goal assisting LEF's ally, Canonn Reasearch in their efforts to build a mega ship. LEF began to incorporate more style concepts, other than just exploration. As such, LEF began recruiting traders, and BGS pilots in order to expand the LEF influence in the galaxy.
And so a new chapter of LEF begins. And it begins with all of LEF. All of LEF pilots working toward the same goal, and to achieve the same end state... A known, and prosperous future.

On May 31st 3303, The Legion Expeditionary Force began to engage a minor faction named Bacon Cats Arbitration and Transport Services in an effort to establish a home for themselves. LEF members fought around the clock to ensure that the Bacon Cats (BC) lost their influence, their control, and eventually their spot in the system. The effort began with open skirmishes against The Bacon Cats' system authority Vessels. Then progressed to an all out war which was prompted by CD-87 Imperial Society, a minor faction allied with LEF. Finally the Bacon Cats lost their control, and was reduced to 1% influence in the system. They were then forced into lockdown, androuted them from the system. Much credit to those listed above for all of their efforts in the fight for the LEF's new home system. LEF pilots have now finished their fight for their new home system.

Following the LEF inspired conflict in Baltah'Sine, LEF pilots took a scenic tour of the Benard's Loop area. A little break from the fighting and a glimpse back at the LEF roots. The expedition was lead by CMDR Smudge30 who also discovered a new geyser field while in the mission target system, thus adding to the LEF Core data being collected in all facets of exploration.
