A Code of Conduct
Because TerraLight Industries is a corporation, a positive reputation is important to maintain continued business. Our contracts with the Federation require us to maintain public appeal as well. In order for TerraLight Industries to promote positive public relations, its members must follow an ethical code of conduct.Violation of the following may result in expulsion from TerraLight Industries.:
- Combat logging in PVP conflict is strictly prohibited - Combat logging is described as intentionally forcing a disconnect from servers to avoid loss.
The following are guidelines for promoting a positive reputation. They are not a strict set of rules, and this is not a complete list. They are examples of unethical behavior you may witness. You are free to act in your own immersion in any way you please. However, be prepared to face the consequences of doing unethical actions in PVP scenarios.:
- Camping at starting systems, such as LHS 3447, and targeting new players.
- Piracy- using force, or threats of force, to take goods of any value.
- Requesting rescue in order to ambush the responders.
- Targeting peaceful explorers on planet surfaces.
TerraLight Industries members are encouraged to come to the aid of our members who fall victim to these actions. However, if you're the aggressor, don't expect others to fight your battles.
