5 - EDA Public Statement on Live/Legacy game modes
With the introduction of Update 14 to Elite Dangerous and Frontier Developments decision to the split between "Live" and "Legacy" game modes, EDA has made the decision to ONLY officially support the Back Ground Simulator in the "Live Game Mode".This includes:
- All current and future faction support for EDA Kunti League only in "Live" mode.
- All current and future faction support of coalition members of EDA Kunti League only in "Live" mode.
- Viewing ALL console squadrons and their associated PMF's as now inactive and unsupported in "Live" mode.
Legacy squadrons that have since moved to PC/"Live" mode and who have publicly stated the move to "Live" mode via updating Inara squadron platform tag with a majority of their squadron members who have also updated their platform tags and that the squadron members Inara profiles are displaying 4.0 content such as Odyssey ranks and engineer access will be treated as a "Live" mode squadron and will be contacted via a coalition if EDA expand into a controlling system by the PMF.
In the event that EDA has expanded into a Legacy/Console squadron controlled system, we will automatically assume that the squadron is inactive in "Live" game mode and will be treated as a Non-PMF unless the PMF has met the above criteria.
