Naval Ranking Structure
AdmiralControls the entirety of the Fleet and all attached units such as the 27th Marine Regiment.
Vice Admiral
Has military control of a cluster or bubble of systems and deals with the deployment and operations of all planetary and space units.
Rear Admiral
Controls an entire system, will receive orders from higher ups to deploy ground or space forces where needed and can also deploy said forces at their own discretion.
Commander
Controls an entire planet or numerous planets. Commanders will coordinate the efforts of all ground forces planet side and all space forces in orbit.
Lieutenant Commander
Coordinates all taskforces assuring that they meet minimum standards and are well equipped as well as deploys them.
junior Lieutenant
Filler rank, Junior Lieutenants have proven their capabilities to do all previous positions and as such will fill in for any absent positions if necessary, even taking orders from individuals technically a lower rank then them.
Ensign
First administrative rank, assists command in any and all desk operations and efforts as well as relaying orders.
Chief Warrant Officer
Deals with the deployment of ground forces and troop transportation, also coordinates fleet carrier battlegroups.
Warrant Officer
Acts as close air support for ground units and also acts as extra crew for multi crew situations, etc. Warrant Officers are technical ranks and bridge the gap between Navy and Infantry.
Master Chief Petty Officer
Leads and coordinates an entire taskforce comprised of three flotillas.
Senior Chief Petty Officer
Acts as a flotilla leader as well as a second in command to the taskforce and replacement to the MCPO if necessary.

This is where your career in the navy really starts, from here you can choose to pursue one of two pathways. You can either act independently and receive individual orders as well as acting as a replacement for any wing members OR you can pursue a career through a flotilla.
