This mission was set by the allied/supported squadron: Cobalt

Due to the resurgence of the economic boom in the Cigui System, Amarishvaru Advanced Holdings offers additional financial incentives for the import of Cobalt metal into Clark City. As always, this, along with any imports of Platinum and Osmium, will be used to produce the appropriate displays, decals and memorabilia to be distributed through AAHC territory.

Note that as Cigui is by nature a Low Security system, and has a single main shipping lane to Clark City, piracy is a meaningful risk when undertaking this trade route, and demand itself is limited by the purpose of the imports. Pilots who are primarily confident in their ability to evade pirates in small and medium transport ships can import the Cobalt primarily from Yegorov Depot in Ambibeb.

An alternate combat related mission should also now be available, Traders should track the status of that mission even if not intending to involve themselves directly, as an indicator of the security status changes.

Mission details
Logistics expects that over the next few days, the economic boom will subside and trade will return to normal, but Public Relations has chosen to use this opportunity to ramp up production of Cobalt related merchandise. As of the initial dissemination of this mission, demand was expected to reach 40,000 tons, which is an amount that is likely to require efforts beyond those of just Cobalt Squadron even if larger shipments are brought from the nearby Diabanda system.

At this time, our Corporation has chosen to offer no explicit additional incentives for the imports, as the demand is likely not high enough to justify doing so (and thereby resulting in a higher interest that would be likely to waste some pilots' time). Ace pilots with options for heavy combat vessels are however welcome to alternately devote their time to clearing up some of our resurfaced internal corruption. See the 'sister mission' for details.

Updates to this mission such as information about fluctuation in demand and changes in the security situation or similar in the Cigui and Ambibeb systems will be available through this readout.

UPDATE 1 - 22nd APR 3309
Demand for Cobalt remains stable at just below 40,000 Tons. No significant increase in threat level in Cigui has been detected. Possibly, there has been a slight reduction in threat levels.

UPDATE 2 [CONCLUSION] - 25 APR 3309
Changes in Macroeconomic factors and shifts in perception have reduced economic activity in the Cigui System to the point where logistics has chosen to reclassify the status. Cigui is no longer experiencing an Economic Boom by most standards, and we expect the demand for Cobalt (though constant) to return to normal levels, along with the corresponding reduction in offered prices.

UPDATE 3 [RESURGENCE] - 10 MAY 3309
Maintenance of high morale and determination in Cigui resulted in a return to a 'Boom' economic status classification. At this time, the demand for Cobalt is also now related to its potential uses for Neutralizer production, and Platinum is also being traded at high prices.

UPDATE 3 [DESYNCED] - 24 SEP 3310
Recovery in the Cigui System has gone well enough, combined with Boom status in both Ipet and Amarishvaru, that this mission is considered to be 'active' again. We thank all pilots who participate in this morale-boosting event, despite its desychronized status relative to the normal quarterly timing. We hope that the economic incentives make it worth your while.
