This mission was set by the allied/supported squadron: Cobalt

Independent Pilots are asked to defend our holdings in Ch'in Shou and Ipet, in Conflict Zones, and also to verify the security at Royal Plaza and Red Binary Limited in Qi Lisu during this Boom period.

The war in Hakkaia should be completely ignored. Cobalt Squadron operatives are generally going to be away/on vacation aside from the Account Manager of Qi Lisu, so the Corporation must request additional support from supporting and independent CMDRs. If you were in the area taking advantage of the boom in Cigui, please consider defending our facilities before moving on. For those of you who are now taking your own 'time off' away from the area after working hard during our two weeks of prosperity, we thank you for your contributions.

Some additional details about Facility defense for the unfamiliar can be found in the full Mission Briefing.

Mission details
For the less familiar, here is some additional information regarding the type of activity being requested in this mission:

Instead of directly patrolling the shipping Lane in Qi Lisu, a pilot can report to the Royal Plaza, the Sagan-class Traveller ship, etc, and hold station near it in case of attacks, then enter Supercruise at regular intervals to use the FSS to scan the system for other signals requiring attention.

We suggest outfitting ships for either high focused firepower, or good evasive maneuverability, depending on whether your role in Facility defense is to quickly destroy ships that reach the facility, or to stall and confuse attackers while the system's security forces bring them down. Please be careful with the use of less discriminate weaponry such as Dumbfire Missiles, Frag Cannons, and Super Penetrator Railguns, as the automatic systems on the ships and facilities will still issue fines and bounties for incidental damage occurrences.

When attackers do come, they tend to come in force, meaning that these conflicts are a matter of endurance, and though they are not quite on the level of Conflict Zones, the additional required specialization and 'restrictions' on safe weaponry may pose at least a logistical challenge for pilots less experienced with this combat theater. The mission's location has been set to reflect this for the time being. Ace Pilots confident in their skills can deploy to other, more nuanced/challenging locations that they are aware of, or to the Conflict Zones in Ipet or Ch'in Shou. Bounties can simply be turned in, in the system earned, or in Radican, if convenient.

However, please note that due to the efforts of others, there may be no rogue activity at all. Data will be updated over time.
