Mission details
To All Independent Pilots,

In conjunction with the Thargoid Advocacy Project, Human-Xeno Connections, Reforge AEGIS, and McCoy Spaceways, YKE Technologies is requesting support for Operation Halcyon, a multilateral repair initiative for the Kingfisher Xeno Peace Megaship.

Independent pilots are being requested to provide the necessary resources and skills needed to repair the Kingfisher Megaship orbiting planet B 1 in Hyades Sector YO-Q b5-1. The ship plays a vital role in communication with the Thargoids and repairing it is essential for the Thargoid Advocacy Project. We encourage pilots and traders to support this initiative by supplying resources and actively taking part in the repair. Reconnaissance teams have discovered that most subsystems, such as communication equipment and power capacitors, remain functional, indicating the possibility of life support. Measures will be taken to ensure the safety of repair crews and the success of the repair initiative.

The Kingfisher, a unique vessel dedicated towards Inter-species communication with the Thargoids, was attacked and left damaged on November 24th, 3308. It was reported shortly after that Thargoid Interceptors were collecting the cargo from the hatches. This interaction lasted for several weeks, until all artefacts were removed. Independent investigations released by the Sovereign revealed that the attack was likely provoked by the presence of Thargoid artefacts within the cargo hold,

“The Kingfisher tragedy has been eclipsed by the current conflicts, but one detail we felt worthy of note was the discovery of Thargoid Sensors among the megaship’s wreckage. The leading theory is that one of the volunteer crew members smuggled these aboard, in the hope of attracting the Thargoids’ attention to the megaship’s peaceful communications. This misguided individual was likely unaware that Thargoid vessels can become hostile upon detecting their technology on human ships. One hopes that nothing more sinister was in play.”

Captain Milly Woodard, Deck Officer of the YKE Drimo, released a personal statement regarding the initiative:

"As the war engulfs humanity, a sense of urgency grips us all. Advocates of peace and advocates of war alike, we all feel the weight of the present moment. The Kingfisher, a beacon of hope, holds the key to peaceful communication with the Thargoids and a chance for diplomacy amidst the turmoil. This initiative serves as a symbol of unity in the face of chaos, showing that even in the darkest of times, humanity can come together for a greater cause. The Defense Council of Humanity has demonstrated that many groups, regardless of agenda, can work in tandem to achieve momentous goals. We must work towards the repair of the Kingfisher, as a model for future collaborations and as a hope for a better future for all.”
