Asgard’s Ronin is an XBox-focused group that believes in playing Elite: Dangerous the way you like. We do not require a set amount of in-game time as most of us have limited game time. Members are generally, though not exclusively, a bit older than the norm, with families. We're generally an easy-going group, interested in having fun and not interested in having drama.
In addition to the Squadron, we also have a dedicated Player Minor Faction and a home system that we control, so we are also engaged in working with the BGS.
We do not require that you join our squadron to be a member of Discord. If you'd like to join our squadron, however, we do require that you be present on our Discord server. You can find the Discord server by clicking here.
We aren’t a squadron with a specific gameplay focus, and welcome all gameplay styles. We do have a few rules for the PvP aspect of the game if you are going to be a full squadron member:
- Our guiding principle is that we won't tell you how to have fun in the game, but don't be a dick. Be kind to people as a default.
- No griefing, ganking, or seal-clubbing.
- No Combat Logging, as it's a bannable offense from FDev. For clarity's sake, "Combat Logging" is when you exit the game by shutting down the application, ending the game process, or otherwise quitting the game by some means other than the in-game Exit menu to avoid combat or a combat loss. Menu Logging, i.e., leaving the game via the exit menu, and waiting through the 15-second game timer, is NOT Combat Logging. Menu logging is acceptable, but there will be...consequences for Combat Logging, up to and including ejection from the squadron.
- Squadron command will handle complaints (combat logging, ganking) by other players on a case-by-case basis, using Rule 1 as a guide.
Other than that, we aren't gonna pound you with a bunch of rules, or tell you you're having fun the wrong way.
While most of us have limited time, we tend to be pretty active in-game, so there's usually someone available in the evenings you can find to wing up and do stuff.
We're looking for friendly people who just want to have fun with others, and get up to some funny shenanigans from time to time. It's a game. It's supposed to be fun.
If you'd like to join the squadron, you must apply on Inara. To do so, you must have a verified Profile on Inara, with public access granted to your profile, so we can look it over before accepting you. This is a classy joint, see? We don't want any riff-raff. Or sneaky alt-accounts.
