Founded in May 3308, YKE Technologies began as a pilot training and support squadron with a major focus on providing financial aid to rookie Commanders. There was also talks of specializing in Ship Manufacturing, but this was dismissed due to fears of a hostile takeover once incorporated. A secondary goal beyond supporting novice pilots was to establish their own Player Minor Faction (PMF), called 'YKE Technologies', which remains active to this day.
On September 7th, 3308, as an immediate response to the Proteus Wave, the Board of Directors swiftly ratified a strict allegiance towards the Thargoid Advocacy Project. YKE Technologies swiftly re-oriented itself to become an Independent Research Organization that specializes in Human-Thargoid relations. Members began regularly conducting extensive non-invasive research into the intricacies of Thargoid behavior. Over time, as additional historical insights came to light, A conspiracy originating from within Humanity to stifle Non-Hostile research was unveiled. Consequently, this Squadron officially maintains the view that Humanity played a significant role in instigating both the First and Second Thargoid Wars. A primary source for this conclusion is derived from an Allied publication, titled 'The Thargoids: Truth and Fiction', written by Dr. Joreb Innitu of Alioth. Members of YTEC also assert that Anti-Xeno Activism fundamentally skews and taints the way empathy for Nonhuman beings is perceived by Humans.
As of Today, October 15th, 3309, YTEC's central objective now revolves around establishing an Interspecies Embassy, a noteworthy venue where both Humans and Thargoids can gather in harmony.
Origins:
Prior to our Incorporation, CMDR & CEO Dylan D formed the 'YKE Technologies' Squadron. Activity dwindled over time due to a lack of direction, leading to two years of stagnation. As the situation regarding the Thargoid species escalated, and more mysteries presented themselves, Dylan found himself unable to ignore the growing disconnection between Commanders and their own Ideals. This led to the formation of YKE Technologies.
A significant portion of our incorporation can be credited towards CMDR Fenrisúlfr, as it was they whom initiated the expansion of YKE. Upon contacting Dylan, both realized they shared identical ambitions. Once the YKE Network was established, growth began exponentially. The Board of Directors was formed initially from the founders of the Organization. Each Director was assigned to a given sector; Trade, Defense, Expedition or Mining. As more Commanders were employed into sectors, YKE Technologies was finally able to Incorporate into HIP 69738. Strategic negotiations began with the control faction, HIP 69738 Independent Union. Patronage in structure, we were initially unable to secure diplomatic ties. Any potential diplomacy was fractured after it was discovered that our Chief Trade Officer was assassinated by the abhorrently delusive group. This led to our first Civil War, in which we dealt with the threat in a matter of four days. In honor of our slain Director, we claimed Pinto Dock, our first official asset.
Black Flight Encounter:
On November 25th, 3308, Multiple Diamondback Scouts bearing the 'SVI' identification code were spotted in the Uncenii system. This nomenclature is used by the secret enforcement wing of Azimuth, the Black Flight. Its chief duties involve monitoring for Thargoid activity, and preventing the public from discovering any Thargoid-related sites and technology by any means necessary. Pilot reports indicate that the encounter took place within a Convoy Dispersal Pattern signal source; Threat Level 4.
Most notably, this encounter took place within one of our own systems, insinuating that Azimuth is keeping invasive tabs on our xenological research...
