About Loren's Reapers

MISSION STATEMENT:
The mission of Loren's Reapers is to reshape the galaxy of Elite: Dangerous by providing context and meaningful purpose to the actions of its players. Steeped in the lore of the game, our role is not merely to follow a storyline, but to alter the current one and inspire others to create their own.

IN-GAME DESCRIPTION:
"Challenge the authorities. Force their hand. Refuse to be manipulated. Do not rise to their provocations. Make your own powerplays, organise embargoes and blockade the ports. Break their hold and force them out into the open. Blaze a trail. Visibility is the one thing they cannot abide.

Or do nothing. Be content to be a pawn in their game."

What are Reapers? In a word: efficient. No matter what the task is, no matter the objective, no matter the opposition — entrusting something to a Reaper means the job will be done, regardless of the cost.

The Reapers trace their lineage back to Loren’s Legion, a specialized unit that was commissioned by Ambassador Cuthrick Delaney to serve as an extension of the Prism defense force. Originally intended to contend with enemies of the Empire in the vicinity of Prism, it served as a bulwark against incursions into Imperial territory.

Reapers were hand-picked pilots from the ranks of Loren’s Legion by Commander Cornelius Gendymion and Commander Isaiah Evanson. Most famously, they were selected for the task of protecting Kahina Tijani Loren, alias Salomé, and her allies as they made their way to Tionisla in April of 3303. Their mission was to act as the vanguard and destroy anything that stood in their path.

Following the revelation that the Legion had aided a criminal in the eyes of the Empire, its former leadership was ousted and control was handed over to the Imperial Internal Security Service until 3304, when Commander Evanson returned to Prism with a new patron: Senator Vespar Faveol, formerly of the Liaedin system.

Under Faveol’s leadership and with the oversight of Ambassador Delaney and Governor Valeria Larsen, the Legion regained its autonomy and expanded its remit to include offensive operations against the growing Thargoid threat. Members of the Legion participated in the botched jump into the Cone Sector aboard the Gnosis, and the Legion committed significant manpower and material resources to the defense of the Atroco system from a Thargoid offensive.

CORE VALUES OF LOREN'S REAPERS:
  1. Real life comes first
Elite Dangerous is just a game. Real Life commitments trump commitments here 100% of the time. We are here for fun, not work.
  2. Act with integrity and honor
Have fun, but remember that your actions, positive or negative, reflect upon the reputation of the whole group. Don't give us a bad rap.
  3. No exploitation
A gentle reminder not to violate Frontier Developments’ terms of service or to do what Frontier representatives consider an exploit. Please be mindful of Core Value #2.
Members who require repeated correction or demonstrate an inability to comply with the group’s core values may be subject to dismissal by consensus of Loren’s Reapers officers.

CREDITS:
Ambassador Cuthrick Delaney and Admiral Brice from the official "Elite: Dangerous" novel, "Elite: Reclamation," were incorporated into Loren's Legion & Loren's Reapers with the express permission of Drew Wagar. Thanks again, Drew!
