Distant Worlds is the official squadron on Inara for the Distant Worlds Expeditions.

The Distant Worlds Expeditions were created by Erimus Kamzel and members of the FleetComm administration team in November 3301.

Distant Worlds 3302 (DW1) launched in January 3302. 1,300 commanders took part.

This was followed three years later by Distant Worlds 3305 (DW2). Approximately 13.600 commanders took part on DW2, making it the largest fleet event in Elite Dangerous history.
