Black Omega is primarily a BGS (Background Simulation) / Role-Playing focused group, who have taken to the dark, seedy underworld of the Elite universe to create direction, opportunities, narrative and - most of all - FUN!
Our members are encouraged to settle in and around the Tjakiri system, to help our faction at the edge of populated space within the notorious Pegasi Sector. This is a dangerous part of the galaxy, where small populations struggle to exist against a changing backdrop of crime syndicates, dictatorships, theocratic cults and corrupt corporations.
Black Omega exerts its power by offering hardware, merc units and advisors to those in need, whilst covertly building up their crime network through illegal activities such as smuggling illicit substances or people.

Although our game-play revolves around criminality and our role-playing portrays ruthless characters, we do hold ourselves to account on being helpful, good-natured, and friendly players. We play mostly in Open and accept all the game-play that comes with that, but we will not tolerate any out-of-game harassment or foul play.
Moving forwards we are looking to have an inclusive group who can have fun in game, in our discord (invite upon entry), and - if they wish - in our RP. We want people to be able to play the game in a way they enjoy, without having to treat it as a second day job. We also want people who understand the line between RP and IRL interactions. Many CMDRs find themselves burnt out keeping up with BGS mechanics and when the social aspect of the game becomes more akin to mud slinging than open conversation, and we wish to avoid this.
Black Omega has changed its focus from being a "Blackwater-esque unit" to a "Dodgy Space Cantina" due to changing leadership and membership after previous much-publicised misgivings. It still engages in the same activities it used to, only with a different slant to its front.
Black Omega is a signatory to the Pegasi Sector Commonwealth, an alliance of player groups promoting cooperation and mutual assistance between member factions.
