The outlaws of old once lived by their own set of laws: the Code of Pirates. There was indeed honor among these thieves. One could always hold a pirate to his word, for the Code was their rule of law, and the Code ensured that all pirates would prosper in that simpler time.

But for some, it was not enough. Tenuous alliances, political conflicts, and strict rules were merely chains that held these outlaws back from realizing their full potential. Some wanted more freedom, others wanted independence, and others simply wanted to drown the galaxy in blood. Together they broke their shackles and set off on a new mission: to unleash mayhem upon the galaxy.

The Code lay in tatters, its ancient ways all but entirely forgotten. From its ashes rose a new breed of outlaws: no more rules, no more treaties, no more Code. Only Mayhem.
