The Nemesis Research Assembly it's a ruthless self-proclaimed military and research assembly created in order to repel Thargoids attacks .This assembly operates primarily outside the civilized systems.They are relentless in the discovery of uncharted space,always searching for ancient technology and now more than ever for rare resources.Wealth is power and the Nemesis wants to amass both in large quantities.In the pursuit of profit,the Nemesis does not think twice about crossing the boundaries into morality grey areas,nor defeating its enemies without mercy, all,in the name of making the Empire prosper and advancing technologically and psychologically but in respect of Imperial traditions as Empress Arissa Lavigny Duval states .
Who are the Nemesis Pilots?
The Nemesis styles itself after the Roman Empire:often speaking Latin and Greek,and naming things and places with Roman/Latin and Greek convention.The Romans believed Latin was the “language of power”-and the Nemesis adopts that philosophy.Their motto is "Dolor transit,Gloria aeterna est" (Pain is temporary,glory is forever). The Nemesis tries to ensure that its pilots stand at the cutting edge of technology.Their pilots are often gifted internal augmentations to help them in combat.Thanshumanism is an important part of the Nemesis philosophy and achieving the state of “superhuman” as pioneered by Friedrich Nietzsche is something they strive towards.The Nemesis pilots are arrogant,they believe they are superior beings through this form of evolution.Others are seen as inferior,and are often talked down to as a result.
Internal augmentation isn’t enforced strictly within the Nemesis ,however,its pilots are greatly encouraged to follow that path.Strenght and skill are praised within the Assembly,so its pilots often pursue augmentation in order to out-perform their peers.

The Nemesis Research Assembly started as an elite group of Bounty Hunters and its name wasn’t as known as it's today; In fact it was known as the "Sanguinelingers Company", pursuing the most dangerous contracts across the known galaxy. It was founded by Stachys Drakon when he left the Empire as an elite soldier of the Black Rose, a division of the Stellar Winter Squadron.
During this period of 10 years, Stachys with other 3 soldiers loyal to him, pursued fame, honor and more than ever, money.They gained so much reputation with so many corporations that there wasn’t a day without a contract.
Until one day, on the 26th of September 3303, when numerous pilots reported being attacked unprovoked by Thargoids interceptors. Stachys at first ignored it judging the fact as a mean to recruit some people to fight for their superpowers. On the October of 3304 Stachys with his small company of only 3 members was invited by an independent corporation, the "Argus Corporation", to have a talk with its current leader, Jon Welsh.
Stachys accepted the invitation and diplomatic relations occured between the two parts. After one month there had an agreement. The SanguineLingers Company would be annexed by the Argus Corporation to guard the system Lakota and if necessary destroy any riot in it, in exchange they would gain so much money that they could buy the most luxurious ships and rooms in the system.
Stachys as wise and smart as he was, kept the money and used them only to buy some food, alcohol and a medium sized room.
It was the year 3305. Many months have passed since then and the Thargoids threat was approaching to the Lakota system, the system that he now described as his new home.The Argus'leader Jon Welsh, made Stachys in charge for repelling this threat: they equipped their ships with new weapons developed by the Aegis.
The war enraged through March of the same year until September, and his small group of 3 members succeded on making the Thargoids retreating. During this time Stachys was affascinated by the Thargoid technology and put in charge a brilliant scientist named Aaron Aschcroft, an ex imperial scientist, to study it aboard Stachys'Cutter, "The Hamadryas". When the conflict ended Stachys noticed that payments occured not only from the Argus Corporation but also misteriously from the Empire.
Months have passed since the conflict occured and unexplainably Jon Welsh disappeared and now without a true leader the bonds with Stachys and the corporation were in danger.
Fearing for his dismission as system guard he contacted this misterious contacts that were founding him.
After some days he acknowledged that the founds were from Arissa-Lavigny Duval. He managed to contact her diplomats and in secret they stipulated a treaty in which Stachys could keep his organisation but he has to remain loyal to the Empire and to share his discoveries with them.
Stachys in front of this generous treaty, agreed. Once again he betrayed an organisation to set up a new one that now has a more important goal than money: Make humanity prosper outside of civilized space and onto researching the misterious society and technology that the Thargoids have.

Initiate
Are the recruits of the Assembly they are expected to prove their worth to the Assembly through often dangerous tasks,given time dedicated pilots will rise up the rank and become stronger warriors or perish in doing so.
Watcher
Watchers are the pillars of The Nemesis. Watchers have proven themselves as skilled fighters and are an essential part of almost all of the Nemesis operations. Their presence on the battlefield boosts the morale of their comrades and sends fear into the hearts of their enemies.
Templar
Templars are true champions of the Nemesis . As both deadly adversaries to The Nemesis enemies as well as highly potent tacticians when required, Templars are considered to be at the pinnacle of Nemesis strength and ideology, bar High Command.
Keeper
The Keepers are second only to the Assembly Keeper They are the Assembly Keeper own personal elites; warriors and commanders who have proven themselves in the field. Regarded as heroes and treated with immense respect, they are expected to directly assist the AssemblyKeeper.
Assembly Keeper
The Assembly Keeper is the leader of the Assembly a wise,fierce and cunning leader who follows the Assembly current agenda to the littlest detail.Highly revered for their leadership and prowess.They are in charge of retrieving and creating new technologies to benefit mankind

La Nemesis Research Assembly è un’organizazzione militare e di ricerca , creata appositamente per respingere gli attacchi dei Thargoids. Essa,opera principalmente fuori dai sistemi “civilizzati”.Essi sono implacabili nella ricerca di sistemi non ancora scoperti,ricercano antiche tecnologie ed ora piu’ che mai sono alla disperata ricerca di risorse rare, il tutto,nell’obbiettivo di far prosperare l'Impero technologicamente e psicologicamente , nel rispetto delle tradizioni imperiali come sancito dall'Imperatrice Arissa-Lavigny Duval.

La Nemesis Research Assembly iniziò tutto come un gruppo di cacciatori di taglie e il suo nome non è come è conosciuto oggi;Infatti era conosciuta col nome di "SanguineLingers Company" cercavano sempre nuovi e pericolosi contratti in tutti i sistemi civilizzati.Fu fondata da Stachys Drakon quando lasciò l'Impero come un soldato elite della Black Rose,una divisione della Stellar Winter Squadron.
Durante un periodo all'incirca di 10 anni Stachys insieme ad altri 3 soldati rimasti fedeli a lui,cercò fama,onore e sopratutto,soldi.Questa piccola organizazzione guadagnò così tanta influenza che non c'era giorno senza un contratto da completare.
Quando un giorno,precisamente il 26 settembre del 3303,numerosi piloti riportarono di essere stati attaccati da dei Thargoid intercettatori.Stachys sino a quel momento ignorò tali eventi giudincando questi come mero strumento per le grandi potenze di reclutare nuovi soldati per la loro causa.Nell'Ottobre del 3304 Stachys con la sua piccola organizazzione di soli 3 membri venne invitato dall'Argus Corporation per sorvegliare il sistema Lakota e se necessario debellare ogni tentativo di rivolta,in cambio la sua organizazzione avrebbe potuto guadagnare così tanti soldi che si sarebbero potuti permettere le stanze piu lussuriose e le navi piu prestanti di tutto il sistema.
Stachys diligente e scaltro com'era,riceveva i soldi ma li usava solamente per comprare cibo,alcol e per affittarsi una stanza di media grandezza.
Correva l'anno 3305.Molti mesi sono passati dall'ora e la minaccia Thargoid stava per arrivare al sistema Lakota,il sistema che ora descriveva come casa propria.Il leader dell'Argus Jon Welsh,mise Stachys al comando per distruggere la minaccia Thargoid;Così equipaggiarono le loro navi con nuove armi sviluppate dall'Aegis.Questa guerra durò da Marzo sino a Settembre dello stesso anno e il gruppo di Stachys riuscì a respingere i Thargoid dal sistema.Durante questa guerra Stachys venne affascinato dalla tecnologia Thargoid,quindi incaricò uno scienziato il cui nome era Aaron Aschcroft ,un ex scienziato imperiale di studiare tale tecnologia .Stachys gli mise a disposizione ogni sorta di dispositivo che poteva trovare all'interno del Cutter di Stachys chiamato "Hamadryas".Quando il conflitto ebbe fine Stachys notò che non solo riceveva finanziamenti dall'Argus Corporation ma anche misteriosamente dall'Impero.
Da allora passarono 2 anni ed inspiegabilmente Jon Welsch sparì nel nulla ed ora senza un vero leader i legami che aveva Stachys con la corporazione erano molto fragili.Temendo per il suo licenziamento come guardia del sistema contattò chi lo finanziava.
Molti giorni dopo Stachys capì che quei finanziamenti venivano da Arissa-Lavigny Duval.Dopo vari tentativi riuscì a contattare i suoi diplomatici ed in segreto stipularono una sorta di trattato dove:Stachys poteva tenere la sua organizazzione ma,doveva rimanere fedele all'Impero e condividere le scoperte con loro.
Stachys di fronte a questo generoso trattato,accettò.Ancora una volta tradì un'organizazzione per fondarne una nuova ma che ora aveva degli ideali più importanti che mero guadagno di soldi;Portare il genere umano a prosperare al di fuori dello spazio civilizzato e nel ricercare la misteriosa civiltà e tecnologia posseduta dai Thargoid.
Chi sono i Piloti della Nemesis?
La Nemesis fa riferimento all’antico Impero Romano: del più delle volte loro parlano Latino e Greco e nominano cose e luoghi con convezioni Latine/Romane e Greche. I Romani credevano che il Latino fosse il “linguaggio del potere” e la Nemesis adotta tale filosofia.Il loro motto è “Dolor Transit,Gloria aeterna est” (Il dolore è temporaneo,la gloria è per sempre).La Nemesis prova ad assicurarsi che i suoi piloti stiano al passo con la tecnologia. Spesso i piloti ricevono come dono degli impianti interni per essere aiutati nel combattimento.Il Transumanesimo è un’importante parte della filosofia della Nemesis e ottenere lo stato di “superuomo” come teorizzato da Friedrich Nietzsche è qualcosa che cercano di ottenere ad ogni costo. I piloti della Nemesis sono arroganti,essi credono che siano esseri superiori con questa forma di evoluzione con la conseguente che altri siano visti come inferiori e spesso guardati con indifferenza del più delle volte. Gli impianti interni non sono obbligatori all’interno della Nemesis,ma,i loro piloti sono incoraggiati nel seguire questo cammino.Forza e abilità sono lodate nell’Assemblea cosicchè i piloti spesso e volentieri si montano degli impianti per superare di gran lunga i loro rivali.
