Veronica VayleWhy do you bother playing it at all, if you think it's that bad?
There are those who are only happy if they are feeling unhappy.
They claim to "Love the game" but every comment they make is the hope that it fails.
the fact that on the other forum such people are ridiculed may explain why they post here in the main

I think it is more the fact that already Odyssey has some mayor disappointments, like the lack of ship interiors or the rather underwhelming (I only use that word to stay polite here) Armstrong Moment (TM). While the former could still be excused for being mostly a lot of design work they wanted to postpone, the latter can not, as they have already proven when dispatching an SRV or SLF that they can do better then fading to black and having the player pop into existance next to his/her ship.

The 'underwhelming' Armstrong moment - doesn't bother me in the least but perfectly obvious that others expected more. The rest of the expectations? If it wasn't mentioned as coming with Odyssey, where does the blame for them not being met lie?
At least this place is less 'outspoken' than the official forum, and Artie does a great job in having it meet his standards.
ETA: From a couple of internet sources about the first moon landing, the "Armstrong Moment" wasn't descending the ladder, but the first footprint on alien ground...

Rat CatcherShip Interiors were never in the remit of Odyssey, so being disappointed in something that was never intended to be included puts the first part of my comment firmly into perspective.

Let me rephrase it then: People where hoping that with space legs being added you would be finally able to at least walk around the cockpit and use that Krait II's coffee machine

There is nothing wrong in hoping for something, provided one doesn't convince themselves that it is going to happen, of course.
They probably will with the next expansion, or the one that follows it... Providing Frontier are able to provide engaging gameplay to go with interiors, of course.
