Van R FlyheightThat is correct and the follow up would depend on the rest of your build. If you have the power for it then technically a shield bank will provide the most hit points(kind of). However Hull reinforcement could save you too and module reinforcement if you aren't sporting many A grades in your build. Both those add weight though and agility is the vultures main weapon.Thanks, will go with a Shield bank i think. Just need to OC my powerplant after.

What discounts? Are there discounts in this game lol. I mean I already bought it but for future reference.
So there is a picture in the gallery of "Dav's Hope Materials" and its talking about spawn rates. Does this mean that I can get materials there? If so are there other bases out there and is the spawn rate based on the instance I join or is it shared with everyone that plays in OPEN play?

It's when you get into trouble that you will start to think about where your large pad landing options are.
I've made the mistake of taking the occasional delivery mission to an outpost with a large ship before, but I can honestly say I've never gone mining without sorting out where to go in an emergency. Also, if you can afford a Python, you can afford better life support for your Anaconda - it's a "no fly without rebuy" sort of thing.
Using the Python for mining, with regard to landing pad size specifically, makes a lot of sense if you're supporting a faction that has only an outpost in the system or you have some other particular need to hit outposts - but IMO emergency landing ability is just a bonus and fringe benefit, not a primary reason.
Personally, I prefer the Anaconda for mining, but only because it lets me stay out and mine longer. If you want to veg out while mining, the extra cargo space makes a lot of difference.

If you buy your ships and modules from a system controlled by Li Young-Rui you get a 15% discount. Founder's world gives a 10% discount. Patreus systems give a discount on imperial ships.

Use the shipyard link at the top of the page to find discounted ships and outfitting nearest you. Simply check the box labeled "discounted"

You can get materials at Dav's Hope. The spawn is based on the instance you join. I don't know of any other places that spawn materials like that.
I've seen materials at some of the abandoned INRA bases but not as good as Dav's Hope. Good place for chemical manipulators.
I think I got a discounted 8A power plant at Kolaga from memory, but I might have that mixed up my wing mates were calling it Koala at the time.
