SakashiroCQC appears to be dead. I wanted to play a little but couldn't find a match.
Are you surprised? It is dead even in prime hours.

Hmmm. Well the Stellar Forge is procedurally generated for the most part, with some handcrafted exceptions ofc. Looks like this nebula didn't get the personal touch I guess. You'll just have to handwave it away by saying more recent research allowed by direct proximal measurements made 'improvements' to our 'inaccurate' data.
edit: you could put a ticket in and maybe they'll change in in a couple years

SakashiroYay, I found one player! With a much better loadout, so I was one-shot killed all the time, lol.Yeah, heard something like that, like, CQC is overran by people who know every corner and all bonus timings etc., and there's no training mode to figure it out by yourself in forgiving environment.
SakashiroIs CQC instancing split between EDH and EDO like the rest of the game?

And they really need to do something about those shiny scanners in EDO. My Courier got one of those, too. Visibility in the Mamba for example is much better. And that's just unfair.
SakashiroI think the matchmaking process is designed to bring players of similar ranks together, if available. But what if only two players are online? Then the choice is between an imbalanced match or no match at all.
This is part of a much larger problem. In the early days of online gaming AFAIK there were no permanent player accounts. You would choose a gamer/clan tag, pick a server, and then everyone would start each round with the same weapons and classes to choose from. But then player accounts were introduced to track long term progress, manage permanent unlocks etc, and suddenly things were no longer depending on skill alone but also on time spent in the game (aka grind).
CQC could have been a great skill-based island in ED's grind-based ocean, a way to spontaneously compete with other players on a level playing field, without differences in loadouts, engineering levels and so on. But no, they had to introduce unlocks here as well, so casual players are again at a disadvantage.
Jubei HimuraYou mean... actual PVP?
Shhhhhhh you may have put a target on your back... quick, hide!
