MeathHunterI am not sure its faster , as it seems to just creep along while doing the bounty hunting , kill 50 and it barely moves the line up. I wonder if it's linked to the version as I am running Odyssey more now than Horizons.

As far as I know, both versions are using the same formula to calculate the rank gain after each kill. So, maybe you should, ummm... kill more? And give more attention to high-ranked opponents as they give more 'points'. To reach Elite doing CZs, I had to do... maybe 30 to 150 kills each day I played. Yeah, there were days when I wasn't playing, or hardcore days with up to 300 kills, etc., but mostly and 'average' it's about 100 per day.


I will certainly keep this in mind , moving forward thanks for the input , I appreciate the tips.

Did something change in the valuation of current assets from the Frontier data import on 28/29 July?

Mine suddenly shot up about 300,000,000 Cr, and ever since the direct import records and the ones coming through EDMC haven't agreed by that sort of amount as the EDMC one doesn't show the same jump. Just current asset value, the credit balances alone are in step on both methods.

SakashiroI need some expert advice regarding my shield setup. Currently I have thermal resistant bi-weave + 4 resistance augmented boosters.
I could make this more balanced by changing one booster to kinetic resistant.
Or I could do what I did on my first Courier: reinforced bi-weave + 3 thermal resistant boosters + 1 resistance augmented booster. Higher raw shield strength but lower resistance and slower recharge.

Which one would you choose?

Personally I use Bi-Weave Thermal Resist Shield Generator with Fast Charge and then:

Utility Mounts One Two Three Four Five Six Seven Eight
Resistance Augmented 0 1 2 2 3 3 3 3
Kinetic Resistant 0 0 0 1 1 1 1 1
Heavy Duty 0 0 0 0 0 1 2 3
Misc 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1

I put Super Capacitors on all of the boosters. This works for me against 95% of what I run into. I don't see Plasma Accelerators often enough to care and can dodge them well enough and I don't go Thargoid hunting.

The best I can figure is that suits and hand held weapons count now. I notice my asset values go up significantly when I engineer them. It doesn't seem to match the actual credit amount but it coincides with when I have noticed the increases.

Why can’t I just buy the required 25 modular terminals to unlock Qwent? Why do I have to bounce around to hopefully get courier missions that give them as rewards (because the only missions in my area that spawn them are ones that relate to CZs, and I just got done with the independence war CG from last week)?

I did. I tried buying from one. Sale just refused to go through. Had the cash, had the cargo space. Tried multiple times, same result each time.

EDIT: Finally was actually able to buy the damn things. Just had to jump to a different carrier.

I wouldn't be surprised. She's clearly enjoying herself. Now she's demanding tribute from Artie for her successful interdictions!

Nah, it's just easier to look up the CMDRs on Inara if they appear in the log.

The combat log isn't public. If I wanted to mock someone, I'd still have to do it verbally.
