But then there's the whole Aegis thing.

Jack MillerWell the 2 thargoid factions were mentioned in older books so there might not be 2 factions of Thargoids
The two factions were confirmed in Premonition.

SidetrackSamOne of the theories about the current influx is that the "mean" Thargoids are pushing the "friendly" ones through our space, and they "friendly" ones are more just trying to use us as a barricade to slow the "mean" ones down.
But then there's the whole Aegis thing.
The only Friendly Bugs are the Dead Bugs.
Unless of course, as I have said before, they win. In which case a hearty welcome to all of our insect overlords

We're all familiar with Voice Attack, aren't we, even though we don't all use it.
I've started writing again and I'm featuring Voice Control and one of the VA/HCS Voice Packs.
If there's any valid lore-based objections or reasons not to, please, someone, let me know before it gets too difficult to write it out again.
TIA

Reverend TZWNot strictly lore-based but I couldn't think where else to post.

Kate Russell refers to computerized, voice activated ship controls in her book 'Mostly Harmless' which is written with FD approval, I understand.
I don't claim to know much Lore based stuff, but that may be relevant 07.

Good point. As long as the computer isn't sapient it should be fine.

As it happens, Taffer, and stop me if you've heard this, Kate Russell voices one of the HCS voice packs, so yeah, I guess she would have included computerized, voice-activated ship controls.

Voice commands and virtual assistants are things that are in official lore.

ED's Federation in a nutshell. (Yes, I know that's Winter's coat of arms.)
That said, I have several queestions in regard to the Federation. Firstly, will 3305 mark end of Hudson's presidency? How come there's a shadow cabinet, which is rather more British Parliment's thing? What is relationship between Federation and Alliance, despite obvious PowerPlay hostilities (I mean, Hudson and Winters are hostile to each, which is the only case of inter-superpower hostility in entire PP.)
