Narion System - Planet Cruth

09 Mar 2024T Whizzerd
I’ve started my journey on the planet of Cruth in the Narion system. I’ve never been here before. It’s cold, like so many planetary bodies are know to be. It has traces of water, and gold along with a few other minerals of note. I’ve almost surveyed it completely. There are no flora or fauna. Just snow and rock. It has low Gravity (.2G). The radiation is almost unbearable but my suit seems to be holding up well.

I came across a civilian settlement first. They don’t seem to have any work for me but are willing to sell me some parts for my ship and ammo for my guns. The trader behind the counter appears to not have a name. She has an accent but literally goes my “Trader”. She’s informed me that this particular colony is part of LIST. The league of independent settlers. I’ve heard of them before. They use comms arrays to communicate in times of peace and in trouble and will often donate supplies to each other when in need.

I hope that “Trader” is aware that just 700 clicks due south is a helium plant that has been over run by mercs. Or rather was. I went through there a few hours ago. Dangerous fellows. They outnumbered me about 15 to one. I went through many medpacks as they had pinned me down after they took me by surprise. I tried to get inside the plant but the door was locked with a master lock.

I fought my way around back, past the turrets, squeezing out as much of my rations that I could that I had purchased from “Trader”. I found some freshly cooked meals soon after I took out the opposition and then headed into a cave. It seems that the cave led inside the facility, a back entrance, to the mining cavern.

While inside I found some minor mercs, and then another very powerful captain. Killing him, although hard to do, as he was many levels above mine, netted me a great helmet that turns me invisible and is better than my current UC helmet. If found a cache of illegal goods, and tons of Ammo.

I went back to Trader and sold what I could. Where will I offload my contraband though? I doubt there is some where in this system that has a fence merchant. I won’t be able to return to Jemison until then. I hear there is a fence in the Wolf system. Maybe after I finish up the last few settlements and finish my scans I can make a pit stop and unload my contraband wares for a few extra bucks.
