Updates

The Starfield game database/wiki currently contains all the major game data. But, there still are things that can be further improved and/or extended and I am constantly working on these to provide you with the best possible information about Starfield.

Latest updates:
  • 19/03/2024: Updated data for the game update 1.10.31, fixes for the legendary effects and other minor adjustments/fixes.
  • 06/02/2024: Some improvements for the companions' section - added their locations to the list (also with a location filter), and added a companion skills list for getting a better overview of what they can do.
  • 31/01/2024: Just for confirmation - the data on Inara is up to date with the game update 1.9.51 (there were no major changes). Also, brief additional (general) information was added to some site sections.

New DLC-sized Starfield mod lets you build giant mechs and transforms outposts into a "space colonization" sim

After years of Starfield players lusting after the idea of actually being able to do something with mechs in the game aside from staring at the broken ones that dot a lot of the ruins in the Settled Systems, a new mod will finally let you build some of your own. It does far more than that though, seeking to totally overhaul the game's entire outpost system.

Starfield may have over 1,000 planets, but the ending of the game's main quest (mild spoilers incoming) involves just a single one: Masada 3. First there's a big space battle while orbiting the planet, then you have to fight your way through dozens of enemies on the surface and underground, culminating in a final battle that sees you bouncing around different dimensions to locations you visited earlier in the game.

Starfield's latest update doesn't add any new content, but it does fix a galaxy-sized list of bugs

Starfield's latest update is live, bringing with it the promised improvements to the photo mode as well as greater convenience while using the scanner and a handful of other quality of life changes. Nothing terribly remarkable in the grand schemes of things—but what is remarkable is that it also fixes a genuinely huge number of bugs and gameplay issues.

Starfield's new patch busts one of the best early exploits in the game and stops Sam Coe telling his daughter to tell jokes to a corpse

Gosh, but haven't passions cooled on Starfield? For years and years, Bethesda's space sim was the most hotly anticipated game in development by anyone at any studio, and when it came out you couldn't round a corner without encountering some kind of hot take on it (some of them were even ours).
