Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258
Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Anyhow, not sure how this whole site works. Are changelogs and bugfixes posted here? Elsewhere? I'll hold off on uploading my logs until that particular bug is squashed. Do you need a copy of the log? It's in the link in the original post still, I think. System(s) name is(are) "BD+56 521"
As netlog files import will be discontinued in few days (and due that fact I won't be doing any fixes/improvements to it), I recommend to import everything right now. In this case those systems are pretty close to each other, so there is no big issue with a slight inaccuracy with the distances/jump counts.

Well, it's unfortunate that my flight path will only be accurate on EDSM and EDDiscovery, but okay.
I would recommend keeping netlog parsing open as long as possible (if possible) so that there's overlap between that and the journal. Otherwise there will be people who miss out on uploading data in the week or month of 2.2's release.

I like doing it by hand but it takes me out of the game sometimes! Any tips on this or possibilities? Thx

It won't be possible, as I also changed flight log internal format a little bit for the future extensions, but I will probably postpone journal import by one day (to Wednesday) to be sure everybody has a chance to import their latest netlogs. I was announcing the netlog import removal a month ago or so already, I consider it as a fair time in advance.
AthanasiusWhy are the stats not in the same order on, for example http://inara.cz/galaxy-blueprint/6 and http://inara.cz/galaxy-blueprint/4 ? If they were in the same order I could quickly switch between a tab with each open to compare, as it is I have to actually think!
As far as I remember, it's the ordering as is in the game. But it's right that at least in this case it can be reordered...
TuzoArtie, would it be possible to include a column for Pending states on the Minor factions information in the Star System data?
Please elaborate it a little bit (or some link where it is described will help) - should be there also Recovering "state"? How is its duration? Is it limited for just some states? I do not know BGS into details too much, so this will help...

Please see screen shot for element of site that I am referring to: http://screencast.com/t/DDfsUb9C9sN
This is really only needed for conflict states (War/Civil War or Elections) although it might just be as easy to use the same drop down choices is in the main state. Recovery states not really needed. As the pending data would be input by the user, the duration (which varies but is not more than 5 days) does not need to be considered.
The State that is currently included should be termed the 'Active State'
Hope this helps

Yeah, so the ranking system is definitely not working for our needs. I brought it up earlier, but I want to ask again if we can get customization fields within our Wing Roster and Wing Organization areas instead of pre-made titles/ranks and such?
Bsaically, the issue is that we are trying to set up the command structure of our player group to match our method of play but there just isn't room to do so within the current structure here. It is too restrictive. For example, we have currently three "flight leaders" who are in charge of their own small groups based on time zones, activity, and/or play style. There is no "squadron" leader to place in a position of responsibility above these individuals. As a result, I am unable to add in the third "flight leader" ranked player as such.
We also have four "Corporate Officers" who are in charge of various administrative and in-game responsibilities, so the "Wing Commander" and "Deputy Wing Commander" don't really get it done for us either, as we have four founding leaders who need to have access to our INARA Wing functions.
Obviously, we can handle making our own structure in other places (such as our website) but we are completely sold on INARA's other functionality as a sort of clan-site for us. The Mission system is great, the private boards, the ability to interface with other Wings, etc. It would be absolutely perfect if we also had the ability to create our own structure to fit our organizational needs as well.
You kind of dismissed my thoughts before but I would really like to open the discussion and see what can be done.

Ah, this one! I have something prepared for this (locked/pending pseudo-states when war is happening in another system, etc.), will be there soon

Any wing rank can be renamed in the wings settings. Your "flight leaders" may be eventually placed as squadron leaders here, if do you need something bigger, otherwise they can stay as flight leaders (if your groups are rather smaller). Your "corporate officers" can take higher ranked roles here (and you can rename it eventually). I don't see any big issue here?

I'm not sure this has ever been brought up but I'm a beta backer so my insurance cost isn't accurate when it comes to determining the actual value of my ships (only the hulls are 3.75% insurance, the modules are all at 5%).
Can we please have the option of using the ship's sale to determine its value?

Hello, interesting info about the 5% for modules, it seems to be something new. I will investigate it more closely and the whole insurance/ship value thing will be changed eventually. Thank you for the info.

Also, as one of the new features in the game are journals, which are replacing current netlog files, the journals import support is coming to Inara tomorrow. This is the last day when you can import your old netlog files here, so do not hesitate! There are some other features (not just) for 2.2 coming after that and the improvements will be added in the following days...
Enjoy the Guardians!

Love what you're doing here!
P.S.: I wonder if you have time to play the game yourself, given the efforts in Inara

I was trying to figure out why my ship's insurance never aligned with what Coriolis said it should be and I stumbled upon this thread on Reddit from a while back that explained it, it was in one of the final updates before the game's initial release.
