Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

DarthSirrus8668Why would you use a Cutter for Exploration? The Cutter is for Trading and Combat.

For exploring use:

Asp
Cobra
Dback
Anaconda

Even a Hauler can Explore better than a Cutter... My statements do not include engineer modifications of course.

I've seen people take a T-9 on the Distant Worlds expedition. Don't judge!

I was one of those people . Took a 5 month break from the game and came back for guardians. Couldn't really remember how the game worked but the first thing I did was throw some cabins in my python grabed a 8k light year mission to some random star in the core and headed out!

It wasn't until I started plotting the course that I remembered exactly how far 8k away was, and it wasn't until I was thousands of light years from the bubble that I realized I shoulda left my military grade armor at home..

13LY jump range

I did however have 2 fuel tanks. ... haha which made sense to me. Until halfway through my trip I realized I wasn't using it, and apparently hydrogen isn't weightless.

It was a badly planned trip all around haha

RIGHT? I went to Colonia in a battle-ready Anaconda refit for exploration - so FMUs, etc, but fully armed and armored. 16LY jump. It takes a full day to go 1KLY, 60+ jumps. Torture!

But the upside is that I get my name on MANY of the "fly-over" systems that most grasshoppers just bounce right over. It's an exercise in modulo arithmetic whenever I encounter previously discovered systems.

CMDR SolbyI have a request for a feature: An option for freeing slaves in a station in space where slavery is illegal. The only options available are selling them to the black market or jettisoning them.

I love this idea, and in fact, it already exists.

First things first - this is a feature request for the game. Inara is not affiliated with Frontier Developments, but PLEASE make this suggestion on the Frontier forum.

I have ONE TIME gotten a "smuggling" mission to smuggle a cargo of slaves to freedom. I got this either right after I hit "Tycoon" in trading, or when I hit a rank with either the Federation or Empire - it seemed like a reward mission for having gotten that achievement. It was something like 27 slaves, and was valued at some 3 Million credits (not a great ton/credit ration) but I loved the idea. Smuggling slaves is a standard mission, but you're usually smuggling them INTO slavery. Smuggling slaves OUT OF slavery is a great moral option, and could have specific BGS impact that is distinct from the "illegal goods smuggling" options currently.

I know that there are missions that let you get slaves to freedom, and I acquired some slaves for one such a mission. However, the mission asked me to source and then donate "imperial" slaves and bring them back to the station that gave the mission and I bought the non-imperial variety. I'd love to see a feature that lets you get slaves to freedom without someone asking you to.
Thanks for clearing up my confusion about the purpose of this thread, by the way

Hey guys there is a conflict in engineer's blueprint info. Todd The blaster's , for Multi cannon short range blaster blueprint needs magnetic emitter coil in inara. But magnetic emitter coil is unnecessary as i can see now. I'm doing engineer on Blaster right now.

Yea. It's engineered to the tits now. But wasn't then haha. It's a killing machine now with eng'd weap, military armour, and hull reinforcements while still holding a 24k jump.

Doesn't mean I'm taking her outta the bubble ever again though haha. 29ly if I drop the weight

Component "Compound Shielding" can also be found in Encoded USSs. (Currently i'm in a system in a state of Civil War)

Are there any tutorials on how to setup a Thrustmaster controler with a config file? I've found alot of config files doing a search in google, but nobody seems to have any tutorials on how to implement them.

Thanks

I set mine up in game, however, the config files are located in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings\

In Bindings, you can save multiple preset configs and then select the one you want to use in game, dont know if this is what you are looking for, but hope it helps.

I hate to ask, but does anyone have a good idea where to find PANITE for Selene Jean? I'm farming pristine metallic rings using http://edtools.ddns.net/ (which is awesome) but still not finding any. I hear the RES sites spawn in, and if I'm not in one I won't find any... is that correct?

PAINite can be hard to find. Your best bet is pristine metallics. You do not have to be in a RES, though yields are allegedly better in a RES and diminish as you move away from the RES coordinates. The hassle of getting shot at all the time makes it not worthwhile for me. Anywhere in the ring has a chance of finding it.

My experience has been that denser areas of the ring offer better odds. As you approach the ring, look for lighter/denser bands and drop into those. May PRNGesus smile upon you.

What DOES help, albeit indirectly, is prospecting. If you prospect an asteroid you get twice the chunks, so if the randomizer gives you painite, you get twice as much. Just equip a prospector controller and limpet asteroids until you find good ones.

Also, there's a neat trick for mining with friends - if you prospect an asteroid, your wingmates can target your prospector limpet and mine the asteroid and get the same yield. Everyone in your wing can do this (so up to four players) and each gets the yield (2x) bonus of the prospector to blast off chunks. You should go last since once you drain the asteroid, it is drained for everyone. It doesn't matter who picks up the chunks, either, so as long as your friends have mining lasers, you can have one person with the cargo space and refinery collect all of the minerals. Note this is current as of prior to last update (I've been exploring for the last few months and haven't tried this since maybe December, so maybe it got nerfed).
